Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Bunya Mountains Accommodation (“BMA”), located at Dandabah, Bunya Mountains, Queensland.

2. Eligibility

The competition is open to anyone aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

Employees, contractors and immediate family members of BMA, and anyone involved in the judging of this competition, are not eligible to enter.

By entering, entrants confirm they meet these eligibility requirements and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. Competition Period

The competition opens at 10:00am AEST on Monday 25 May 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Wednesday 30 September 2026 (the “Competition Period”).

Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be accepted.

4. How to Enter

To enter, entrants must complete the online entry form and provide the following:

  • Full name and email address
  • A written story about a memorable experience at the Bunya Mountains (minimum 150 words, maximum 500 words)
  • At least one (1) photograph taken at the Bunya Mountains (up to 10 photos permitted)
  • Video content is optional (up to 2 clips, maximum 500 MB each)

Limit of one (1) entry per person.

All content submitted must be the original work of the entrant. Entries that contain material belonging to a third party without permission will be disqualified.

5. Judging

This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.

Entries will be judged by the BMA team based on storytelling quality, originality, and the ability to capture the spirit of the Bunya Mountains experience.

The winner will be announced on 14 October 2026 and notified by email using the address provided at time of entry.

If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of notification, BMA reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Prize

The prize is a $500 AUD accommodation voucher, subject to the following conditions:

  • The voucher may only be redeemed towards accommodation at properties managed by Bunya Mountains Accommodation.
  • The voucher must be used in a single booking. If the booking total is less than $500, the remaining balance will be forfeited. No change, credit or refund will be given for any unused portion.
  • The voucher is valid for three (3) years from the date of issue.
  • The voucher is not transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and cannot be substituted for any other product or service.
  • The voucher amount will be deducted from the booking total at the time of payment.
  • The voucher is subject to availability and standard booking conditions.

7. Content Licence

By submitting an entry, entrants grant BMA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and display the submitted content (including stories, photographs and videos) on BMA social media channels, website and other digital marketing platforms.

BMA will use reasonable efforts to credit the entrant when their content is used.

Entrants retain ownership of their original content and are free to use it elsewhere.

8. Privacy

Personal information collected during this competition will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and, where the entrant has opted in, for marketing communications from BMA.

BMA will handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Entrants who opt in to marketing communications may unsubscribe at any time.

9. General Conditions

BMA reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of these terms and conditions.

All submitted content must be suitable for display in a public environment.

BMA reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the competition if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it necessary, subject to any applicable laws.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BMA accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any entrant in connection with this competition or the prize.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
