This was our 3rd visit to The Bunya Mountains. We’ve stayed at different homes each time. Positives of ‘Wonga’ were that is was spacious, plenty of fire wood as it was needed and a wonderful fireplace, and a kitchen that had everything you needed for a long or short stay. Location worked out and not a very far walk to Poppys.

We had a truly magical time watching the mist roll in, enjoying the walk, watching the birds, enjoying the fire. Wonga was full of laughter & the separate areas proved great allowing us to separate from kids a bit. Having a few from different families come & therefore a few cars made the gate entry/exit tricky, whether a coded entry would work, but we did manage. Always love coming to the Bunyas.

Being a 4 bedroom house it accomadated 6 adults very nicely. The house was very clean and tidy, well equipped and spacious. The fireplace kept us very cosy during our stay. A lot of fun and laughs was had around the pool table at night. Everyone had a lovely time and we look forward to coming back again.

We chose Wonga as our weekend getaway that we planned with friends. It is a beautiful property with more than enough space for everyone. The property was clean and well looked after. We loved taking advantage of the decks, particularly the front one where we were able to feed king parrots by hand and watch the wallabies with their Joey's. A great place to stay and will definitely stay again.

Lovely roomy house. Beautiful location. The house could do with some proper parking & paths around it. We arrived in the rain & it is impossible not to get mud everywhere. There was already mud & dirt everywhere on all the outside decks when we arrived.

Great house and lovely surroundings and wildlife. Only two guests made it instead of the expected 4 (due to medical issues) but we walked, ate at the lovely food places and played pool for the two nights there. The other guest had never been there before and was very impressed at getting a whole house for that money! Would recommend!

We had three nights at Wonga and it was so lovely and relaxing. The house plan had so many different sections we felt we all had our own space. It had everything we needed. The possums that visited of a night were so cute. The house was a easy 10-15min walk to the store and walking tracks.

Wonga, 29/7/22 to 1/8/22. 4 single adults and we had a GREAT time. Very clean, well presented, very spacious property. Very warm with huge fire and air conditioner going. Having electric blankets was unexpected and fantastic. Pool table was used. Great that we did not need to cut down our own wood- it fitted in the fire. It would have been nice to use our email contact to also let us know that the markets had been cancelled. We understand that this decision was made well before we got there. Great holiday, great place, relaxing or busy as we wanted it to be.

What a memorable stay at Bunya Mtns. The accommodation was perfect and the staff so obliging and helpful. All facilities on the mountain were fantastic and meals, coffees, SCONES, were perfect. The walks allowed us to see the amazing beauty and bountiful wildlife. A great time was had by all…….could easily have stayed longer.

Beautiful stay we had a great time. We were a little concerned as the description did not mention electric blankets (which are shown on other properties), but on arrival all the beds had them. We had four "newbies" with us who were blown away by the experince.

We loved the home. it was ideal for our group of 8. There were no remote controls for the TV in Pool room and Master B'room. No trouble for the wives. LOL. Home is well appointed with quality furnishing and plenty of cooking equipment. We bought our own frypans etc as previously these have been lacking but this home had these plus an air fryer as well provided.

Our stay at Wonga House was so relaxing. It’s a nice quiet area. Loved the visit from the birds each afternoon and the occasional wallaby. It was an amazing house for Our family gathering and is very well set up and tidy. The pool table is a great addition for the whole family to use and have a laugh. Only suggestion we had was needed a small table out on the front veranda to place our afternoon nibbles on. Will definitely recommend this house to others and stay in it again when we visit. Lovely stay. The views from each windows were gorgeous and I loved the birds that came onto both decks throughout the day. I couldn’t get the TV to work a lovely lady came from the office within 10 minutes and fixed it. Much appreciated it. Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need.

We loved staying at Wonga - it was really spacious and quite minimally decorated which is a big plus for staying with young kids! The house presented beautifully, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware etc. Great location, a little too far to walk to the Tavern/Cafe with kids but a short drive, and beautiful surrounds.

Wonga is a wonderful house for large groups (8 to sleep or more for meals). There is plenty of space, chairs and kitchen equipment to enjoy a great time together. We absolutely loved our time in this house and wished we could stay longer.

Very spacious house stocked with all the necessities which make for a pleasant stay. Pool table was a big hit and an added bonus. We were visited by the usual bush turkeys, wallabies and parrots. Two mice were caught inside the house in the mouse traps. I suggest updating the BBQ as it was a little dirty and smelly and needs checking for gas leaks. Apart from this it was Wonga was wonderful and an enjoyable time was had by all. Will return for sure.

What a wonderful place to stay for a family or more. Plenty of room in this property. Loved the separate living/bedroom areas. Was very nice sitting on the front deck in the egg chair, watching the wallabies and listening to the birds. Bunyas did it again, we will be back.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Wonga. Big house, very clean , comfy beds with reverse cycle air conditioning. Cosy for the cold nights. Just be aware even though the house has ramps, the toilet and showers are not wheelchair friendly. This had no impact on us but maybe misleading to potential disabled guests. The front deck was great in the afternoon with lots of parrots and wallabies close. Would highly recommend to other larger groups or families.

Wonga is a lovely warm house which suited us quite well. Unfortunately we experienced dirty crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils which may have been a "one off" but is really not acceptable. There is a lack of serving platters but otherwise quite well appointed. We will return next year, so hope the issues we had have been addressed.

Lovely visit as always to the Bunya Mountains. Jenepher is, as always, very helpful and a wonderful host. Wonga was a lovely sized home, comfortable and warm. We loved sitting on the front verandah in the sun... The kitchen was a good size and very functional - although the cleanliness of it upon arrival wasn't as good as expected - we had to wipe down dirty fingerprints on the fridge and cupboard door fronts. The master suite was huge and the other bedrooms a great size. Pool table provided entertainment and the large couch in the "movie room" was very comfy. We missed having a few couches around the fire place to bunker down altogether during the evening to enjoy the fire... All in all, another wonderful weekend away at the Bunya Mountains. We would highly recommend a visit up there!

It was lacking glasses of all shapes. And a spring clean wouldn't hurt. Decks were muddy, skirting boards dusty and behind toilets needed a clean and mop. But still loved the house.

URGENT - the safety switch needs looking at ASAP. This is the only negative I have about the property, having to continually turn the safety switch back on (even after turn off the grey water pump). Power off during the night - cannot flush toilet. Power off when baby in the bath - turns into screaming unsettle baby before bedtime Power off when cooking - move to other powerpoints, still goes off Different circuits going off.... Otherwise, perfect place to stay with family group for the weekend. Not too far to walk to café and tennis. Walking tracks close by. Big house so everyone had space.
