very good experience. We really enjoyed it.

we enjoyed our stay at Toolburra. The children loved the wallabies and birds that came to the lodge each morning and night to feed. The lodge was tidy and the kitchen well equipped but remember to take salt and pepper, glad wrap and games . No extras provided. The log fire and electric blankets were a god send. So many options re bush walks. We will be back again.

We have had a great time ,we have a large group of family doing xmas inJuly/June we have always found the cabins to be clean & tidy on arrival. having the keys in the box out front does make it easy but do miss the face to face contact with the girls in reception Only 1 thing ,the wheel burrow for the fire wood was missing

We had a beautiful trip and found Toolburra to be the perfect location with respect to all the facilities. It was like a piece of Austria located in Queensland, with all the Ausie wildlife at the door. Very comfortable accommodation with all necessities provided.

Amazing location and perfect size for a group of friends to get away!

Toolburra is great for a large family gathering. The downside for us was not having the electricity on the Saturday morning. Totally get this wasn't caused by yourselves but a late check out offer on the Sunday would have been nice. The tone of the email sent alerting us to this was 'don't ask for a discount' so we didn't. Also feedback on the restaurant - we tried to book in 3 times to be told it was fully booked - but when we went there just to see it was completely empty - weird right? The site is gorgeous and absolutely stunning

Beautiful weather, atmosphere and location, the staff were very welcoming and we had a fantastic ladies retreat. being in winter it was very practical that there was a pile of firewood there to freely partake of as we kept the firebox well stoked!

Great house for a group getaway. Excellent value for money. We wanted for nothing. Thank you!

Great house for a large family group. Great cosy log cabin style. Be prepared to chop a lot of wood if you like a fire.

Had a wonderful time - a shame there were not enough chairs to seat everyone inside. The stove is very small if you wanted to cook a large family meal.

Toolburra is a wonderful place to hire for retreats. It's less than one minute walk to Poppys cafe, and just down the road a little further is the restaurant, general store, horse and cart rides and walking tracks. I've hired this chalet a few times now because of its location. We can do Tai Chi with the wallabys and forest in the back ground. Meditation at the side of the house where the new trees are growing. Plenty of room for a group with 3 toilets and 3 showers. We had 12 people at our last retreat and there was more than enough room in the fridge for everyones food. Fully equipped kitchen, plenty of car parking and of course, the must have fire place for the winter months with a stock pile of wood just around the corner :) Thank you Toolburra, Sue and the team. See you again next year.

Family and friends always enjoy staying in the Bunya Mountains. Bunya Mountains accommodation provides houses that have accommodated 5 families of friends. The facilities in the house are very good. The kitchen is well equipped. It's very enjoyable to be able to make a fire; firewood is conveniently provided.

A wonderful place for family to enjoy !

This was awesome - loved all of it thank you. I assume outdoor firepits are not allowed? If they are it would be great to have some there. Apparently the clock and TV remote in one of the units (either Toolburra or Oodgeroo) need to be replaced, but otherwise great!

We really enjoyed our stay at Toolburra. The house was clean and spacious, and the kids loved being in close proximity to the shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

A great place to stay when you want to spend great time with friends and family. We enjoyed the environment, surroundings, nature, wallabies, bird feeding, horse cart rides, etc etc. Every time we stay, its just not enough.

There was a bit of a mix up with the booking in that we had booked for 3 nights but the the system only said 2 nights. The system also said that a confirmation had been emailed but no such email had been received by me. It got a bit tense and testy there for a while but ultimately was very satisfactorily resolved. We moved to Warrigal for the final night. As regards the house we certainly didn't like it as much as Warrigal or Mirrabooka where we normally stay due to the lack of spaciousness. We noted that there is no; tea, coffee and milk provided as is the case in Warrigal and Mirrabooka. Also in Warrigal and Mirrabooka there is a set of coat hooks just inside the front door that we find extremely useful but Toolburra did not have these and we missed them.

Found Toolburra to be very comfortable and very well equiped. Particularly liked nicely ironed sheets & pillows as well as the location.

We booked both Toolburra and Oodgeroo for a large group and had a wonderful stay. Having both halves of the property made it easy to have a quiet space for those in need of a break and also a space for socialising. The properties are very well equipped with heaps of crockery and cutlery so meal times are easy, even with very large groups. The bunk rooms are great as the kids have a sleep-over feel but are easy to supervise and the additional showers and toilets, minimise waiting. These properties are ideal if you are looking to go away with a large group of family or friends and not feel isolated in separate hotel rooms etc.

Wow what an amazing place. We had a relaxing enjoyable and comfy stay. Some kitchen items looked abit tired. Was abit dusty and there were some cobwebs here and there, and up high but really besides that we loved it. Oh sorry exhaust fan maybe in bathroom too or heat/light combo. We will be back for sure and already telling everyone about this beautiful place which lots of people aleady know about. Thanks girls for helping us book into the gorgeous cottage without any fuss esp as we turned up without anything securely booked. U r all amazing staff. Thanks very much. Take care and keep safe. Best wishes from kylie cooper and chris livingstone.

We had a pleasant stay at Toolburra. It’s a great house for groups.
Roz Bannan
A fantastic place for a large group of photographers, even in the rain the wallabies and the king parrots came to visit. The living area and kitchen became the perfect work area for indoor photography. We will be back soon
Ellie Smith
The facilities were comfortable but the exit light in the dorm room was extremely annoying and the oven in Toolburra wasn't working. It's a fantastic location. It would be great to have twin beds in the rooms which would have been more suitable for the conference. Thanks for being so accommodating.
Kira-Lee Dyke
Thank you, the house was beautiful and everything was great.

Our family Christmas at the Bunya Mountains was a lovely time spent together.. making our own fun & games laughter, relaxing with lots of food & just spending time together after a very busy year ..

The chalet was tidy and well equipped. Catering and food was excellent. Friendly, helpful and flexible staff. Improvements: Laundry closer to the Centre.

Don't really want to write a great review, more people may discover what a wonderful place it is, and we may not be able to get a space next year. Green relaxation, lazy days, abundant wildlife, all you need to recharge. Some silly people even go walking. Family has been gathering up there for 11 years, to celebrate Mum's birthday, and could think of nowhere better. Do be aware of the Lions, Tigers and Bears (just kidding, trying to keep the mountains a secret).

Big place in a beautiful location. Great for families and big groups. Place could be a little bit cleaner though. Only real criticisms is the slight lack of clarity of info on the website. The "shared" pool table isn't just between the two adjacent chalets, but rather 6 or 8 and is located inconveniently far from the house and requires keys and booking through reception. The chalet is also in very close proximity to another couple of chalets. Having stayed in a private house previously, I knew this time wouldn't be as private, however a little more info on the website would have helped us either prepare for what we'd booked, or book something else. For example a map to show exactly where the house was would have been great. I personally would have spent more and gone to a private house had I known about the location and the specifics of the shared game room (which was so inconvenient we didn't end up using it despite it being part of why we booked that one). We enjoyed our stay, but definitely enjoyed last time better.
