Silver Firs was excellent accommodation for our group of 9 adults. We loved the very large bedrooms (all ensuited). We self-catered for meals and loved the roomy well-stocked kitchen. The property was very clean. Appreciated that linen was provided too. Thank you.

Unique and beautiful... Silver Firs is well appointed and is perfect for a large group that wishes to huddle together in the warmth while being close enough to the beautiful wilderness of The Bunya Mountains.

Excellent property for 4 couples with all facilities but impossible to warm on cold days. The wood fire did not warm the localised area let alone the whole house. Suggest that the firedamper is ineffectual. We all survived with multiple layers of clothing. Otherwise, a great venue

A group of friends together for Xmas in July - perfect! Plenty of space - huge bedrooms and every one got an ensuite. Really cosy with a fire and beautiful views.

Our group of four couples and three infants had an excellent time at Silver Firs. The house has been well designed with 5 large bedrooms all with ensuites, ensuring each couple/family had enough privacy and space to themselves. The outlook is great (maybe cut down that massive cactus though), the decor is lovely and the fireplace was warm.

Fabulous large chalet . Beautiful large deck in a quiet location . Glimpses of the darling downs off the deck . Log fire was great.

A group of 12 ladies enjoyed a weekend at the Silver Firs Chalet. What a fantastic house! The location was great and it had everything we needed. We will be back again for sure.

Clean and comfortable, very spacious, great cooking facilities and the whole house well equipped. Parking for vehicles very good, but some cover would be beneficial. A little expensive.

Our families enjoyed a wonderful Christmas experience and could not speak more highly of the accommodation at Silver Firs. The house was very spacious and well laid out to accommodate our 11 member family. The bird life was a delight and along with the parrots we were privileged to see the Regent bower bird, a first for most of us. Even, surprisingly, saw a dingo one afternoon.
Leesa Deacon
Fantastic home, especially for large groups. Everything we needed was there ( except an iron which we couldn't find)

Thank you for allowing us to explore the beautiful Bunya Mountains while staying in the amazing Silver Firs Chalet. Our family love everything about the whole weekend. We will return.

A very relaxing and calming few days in a magic place, very peaceful, friendly people in the park, facilities tavern, poppies etc. Great staff at accommodation centre, very helpful. Stayed at a wonderful house, very comfortable homely and well appointed with everything we could possibly need for a fantastic stay. We will be back for another stay soon.

This was a great experience. This house is tailor made for our family stays. We'll certainly be back next year.

The house was very well presented with almost every possible facility provided for he guest's benefit and comfort. The house has been very well designed for ease of living with guest's enjoyment and ease of living/ sleeping in mind. The beds are very comfortable and the doonas are superb. The kitchen is amazing and very workable. There was no shortage of hot water when required. The only item we had to take was our own espresso machine. We also took a small axe to break up the well stocked fire wood into smaller chips as kindling for the very efficient fire. The electric blankets were very welcome on our first night in the house.

Was a fantastic property for a group of families. We all comfortably enjoyed our own rooms & bathrooms. It really has been set up well for larger groups. The fireplace and sitting room had a beautiful outlook to all sit back, relax, take a nap and enjoy a good card game with the fire going when it was raining.

Our group of friends (4 Couples) try and get together for a holiday every couple of years. This property proved to be perfect for our three day getaway. We used four of the five bedrooms all with private ensuites, which provided us all with maximum privacy. The kitchen was fully equipped to the point that we could make our own bread, the oven was a challenge however once we worked it out it was fine. You will not want for any kitchen item all you need to bring is your food. There is a fully functional BBQ (which was remarkably clean) that we used for breakfast. The house has three levels with two bedrooms on level one, which housed the kitchen and entry. One bedroom on level two including a sitting room with a wall mounted TV. Two bedrooms on level three which also housed the loungeroom and fireplace where we spent most of our time. The verandah follows all of the levels and provides spectacular views and ambiance for the Bunya Mountains. Also, there is plenty of parking. If you want to spend time away from the world including technology (coverage was limited) this is the place. The booking and collection of keys process is very easy and hassle free as well as upon collection of the the envelope a map with the highlighted directions to the accommodation was a really nice touch.

We found this house very spacious and well appointed. Appreciated the extra touches such as detergents and hand wash, spice rack and the bread maker kept us supplied with fresh bread every day. A cosy and comfortable stay.

This is a very nice property. What is may lack in 'street appeal' is made up in 'bucket loads' - this is a real home with heaps of space and lovely fittings and homely touches. Quite location and brilliant sunsets. Ideal for 5 couples and ensuites are bonus for all. Definitely recommend - if not 5 star very strong 4.5 star.
Craig Smith
Fabulous place to stay. We didn’t ‘want’ for anything. Everything was provided to make an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Delmar Broadbent
We had a lovely stay at Silver Firs. Had a successful 70th birthday and Family photo session while there. Loved the space.
Jenny Christensen
Silver Fir Chalet was amazing! It accomodated our large extended family comfortably, offering expansive spaces for all to gather, and smaller nooks for more intimate conversations. The kitchen had all that we needed - much more than one expects. Everything was clean and easily accessible. Private bathrooms for each bedroom was especially appreciated. Provision of seed for birds was a special treat - we loved watching the cockatoos, crimson rosellas, wrens and currawongs that they attracted. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend to any large family.
Margaret Evans
Silver Firs is the most fantastic place to stay. There was everything we needed in it. Would be a great place to take the whole family for Christmas, Easter or any celebration. We had a lovely cosy quiet time. Would recommend it to anyone.
Judy Good
Really enjoyed the chalet & having a bathroom each. Would have liked a hair dryer as no one had taken one but will remember next time. Wondered where all the wallabies were as we saw very few this year. Appreciated having the bird seed in the cupboard as we had forgotten it this time.
Sebastian Thomas
We stayed at Silver firs for 2 nights and the place was simply magnificent. It was clean and had an amazing character to the home overlooking the valley. Loved it.
Jan Lengren
This was our 2nd stay in Silver Firs Chalet and the house is amazing and accommodates our large family (grandparents, parents, children) with enough space for everyone to do their own thing if needed. Such a lovely relaxing space.
Leona Carter
This is such a beautiful (and beautifully maintained) house - perfect for large groups, especially as it has an ensuite for all 5 bedrooms, plus a loo in the laundry. Plenty of space for all to have their own quiet bit of downtime when needed, or for everyone to be together in one space. Love the appointments, and appreciated such small details as a night light in every ensuite. Loved the bird visits, and we enjoyed the seclusion as there was nobody in the adjacent property. and it's away from the village. We were happy to drive in to the village (as it's a fair hike up the hill), then enjoy the forest walks. Highly recommend.
Angela Engelbrecht
We had an amazing time in the Bunya Mountains when we stayed at the Silver Firs Chalet. We had a group of 12 family members for Christmas and the house accommodated us perfectly with plenty of space. Having an ensite in each bedroom was very convenient and the house had everything we needed. The location is wonderful and very peaceful being surrounded by nature. It is not too far from the tavern and close to walks and bike tracks. Thank you, we loved our time at the Silver Firs Chalet.

We LOVED our visit to the Bunyas; Perfect climate after all the heat we have out west; beautiful green lawns, everything so neat & tidy. I was very disappointed to find that I virtually had no phone/internet service; i wasn't expecting that. So bad, that Sharon rang me on Friday, I got the message on Saturday morning. Very difficult keeping in contact with the other Members of our Group, given that we were staying in different houses. Disappointed to see "dingoes" there, 1 came up to the front door of Silver Firs with a menacing look on its face, in broad daylight; very cheeky. I would urge the Stakeholders Group to get rid of them before they start eating people, like Fraser Island. No amount of 'sticks' will deter a pack if they get serious about attacking people. I would be very surprised if there is much 'dingo' blood left in them, they are all domestic dog in looks. Another disappointment was the lack of variety in birds; white cockatoos & currawongs must be chasing all the other birds away. Re Silver Firs - beautiful home, with everything one could possibility want. Very generous of the owners to put it in the Rental Pool!! (If I use it again, only thing I would take are wine/champagne glasses! My drinks didn't quite taste as nice out of the water glasses in the drawer) Re the park; while out walking the trails, I saw a beautiful large, light green leafed shrub beside the pad; I like feeling leaves, but when I touched this one, it STUNG me!! Was very surprised, to say the least! Didn't dare touch another plant after that; thumb is still slightly numb & swollen (no yoghurt or baking soda in my food basket). A trick for young players! Cannot think of anything else; just loved our 3 nights; coffee at Poppies very nice, & dinner at the Tavern was delicious. All in all, a great time was had by all, & I hope I can come again soon. Office staff very friendly & helpful too!!

Our second visit to the Chalet and it was just as good. There was 8 adults visiting and it works very well for a group. Very good amenities in kitchen to self cater. Cheers The 8 G's

This is the prefect place for a family or friends gathering. Great kitchen/ dining space, 5 bedrooms and ensuites is a real treat, walking distance to the "village" spotless, warm. Perfect!
Janne Kelly
The house was great and well appointed throughout. It comfortably accommodated five couples for a lovely winter weekend away!
Rosemary Burke
The house was absolutely beautiful and suited our group perfectly. Everything was catered for and all the little details where amazing. Totally loved it and will definitely be booking is again if we have a large group. As most our party is in our 60-70's it was perfect with everyone having their own ensuite.
Bianca Stubbs
Amazing place to stay- management replied to emails and calls instantly. Chalet was perfect and well equipped. Bird life, walks and falls were all extraordinary. Note- take a bag of sunflower seeds with you.

We had an excellent time in Silver Firs. There was so much room inside and out.The fittings were all of a high standard and the instructions were easy to follow. We were very impressed with the bedrooms especially all having bathrooms. The wood fire warmed the whole house. There was lots of wood.
Tess Aisthorpe
House was perfect for our retreat weekend and there was plenty of room for 12 adults. Great space!!
Gretta Barton
A perfect, well equipped house for multiple families to enjoy!

This house was amazing. Each room had its own bathroom and enough space for each guest. The house was cleaned well and had ample amount of room for the amount of people we had there. Would totally recommend this house for large groups or many families. Plenty of personal space and plenty of communal space. We really loved this house and all the space. Would totally come back.
Laura Pratt
We enjoyed our stay at Silver Firs. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking pans. It was good that there was firewood provided; however, for the price charged each night a bag of kindling would have been nice. We think it was unreasonable to expect customers to pay cash for kindling when it wasn't provided. We appreciate the quick turn around time for the chalet and the cleaning that occurs, however when we arrived the floors were sopping wet and took 4 hours to dry. The beautiful outlook, new bathrooms and clean house made for a pleasant stay.
Bruce Campbell
Lovely house with plenty of accomodation - and bathrooms!

Bunya Mountains is a unique, surprising and wonderful holiday location. Silver Firs Chalet is a perfect house for a large group, presented with comfort, warmth and cleanliness and magnificent sunset views.
