Our first time in Satin wood after coming to the Bunya mts for over 18 years and we absolutely love the house. So private and being very keen birdwatchers and photographers the back deck was amazing. 33 Species we got just from the back deck in the 3 weeks we stayed . House is very comfortable and well set up with lovely extras. We will be back definitely. We loved it. Really miss the wallabys hope they can make a comeback. 🦘

Lovely stay at Satinwood. Perfect location - nice and secluded. Interior was tastefully decorated and clean. All kitchen things we needed were supplied. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was modern with good fixtures, nice pressure and hot water. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay in Satinwood and found it very comfortable.A little disappointed as it is advertised as sleeping 7 but on arrival found only beds for 6 .The tap in the kitchen sink needs attention as it comes off and a rail in the shower would be beneficial for the elderly.

We had a 3 night stay at Satinwood. The house is charming and secluded, very private. It was an easy walk back to the main Dandabah area. The house was very well appointed with everything you need, apart from the items you have to take, of course. Would be very happy to stay there again.

We love going to the Bunya Mountains for a quiet, relaxing break and had a very nice stay. The property was good with everything we needed, comfortable And nice and warm with the fire. Lots of wildlife around as always and we will endeavour to get up for another break next year.

We loved our stay at Satinwood. The house is so comfy and beautifully fit-out and very private and the log fire at night really capped off our days exploring. The wildlife that can be watched while relaxing on either the front or back verandahs provides hours of relaxation. We would not hesitate to recommend the Bunyas, and especially Satinwood to anyone.

This house was absolutely perfect for our short getaway. The location is tranquil and private. The view of the rainforest is amazing. There were so many things provided that had been listed on the "what to bring" list too which was really appreciated. The animal visitors were an added bonus! We will definitely visit Satinwood again.

Satinwood was a great little place to stay. It felt very homely and literally had everything you could need for a weekend stay. The home was very clean and tidy. The kids loved all the birds and the friendly permanent resident Mr Possum. Thank you to the owners for the little jar of bird seed the kids loved hand feeding all the beautiful birds.

A lovely private cottage, great private yard. Nicely updated bathroom with heated towel racks a bonus. Enjoyed our time sitting on the deck and by the fire. Some nice birds sighted from the deck also. The complimentary wine was a lovely surprise too.

We really enjoyed our stay at SatinWood in the Bunya Mountains. The animal life were really friendly as well. All the walks we did were most enjoyable and easy to manoeuvre. The only minor downside was the fireplace flue was blocked so we unable to light a fire. However would definitely go back there again.

Amazing 2 night stay at Satin wood, first time to Bunya mountains and now will be a yearly visit. The house accommodated 4 teens and 2 adults just fine. The wild life was the best even though it was not the best weather we had 1 day that was great, and used this time to do a small hike/walk. We reconnected as a family and that’s what we wanted. Satinwood had everything we needed for our stay even electric blankets 🥶. We did find the cafe/shop/tavern really overpriced though and knew this before coming so packed all our food and drink. Though with inflation and being out in the middle of nowhere this is to be expected. All in all was a great little getaway from home.

First time visitor to Bunya Mtns and I was so impressed have booked to take the family back during the September school holidays - albeit very fortunate to get a booking with such short notice period. The accommodation was very comfortable (fireplace was a cozy treat for our winter stay) and great value for price. Beautiful national park walks and wildlife on your door step. I love this place - it has been added to my list of regular go to getaways!

This is the third time we have stayed at Satinwood. We always have enjoyed the property and it's surrounds. I have listed a few items from our last visit that made things less enjoyable and difficult. No flat baking trays, pizza trays or wooden spoon. The stove control settings are no longer visible, cleaned off / wear and tear, on the control knob for the main hotplate and oven temperature settings. Made cooking meals difficult but was still able to by comparing other hot plate control knob dial positions. The oven temperature control had faded permanent marker temps. drawn on that were unable to be read. We found the stove manual in the kitchen and were able to use the oven control knob pictures to make an educated guess at oven temperature settings.

I’m not sure about posting this review as I don’t want “Satinwood” to be fully booked n we can’t find availability for next time. Satinwood was absolutely wonderful. The home had everything you could possibly need in the culinary department. Even a coffee maker. Just a delight. We will certainly be back (if we can get a booking:) )

Saturn wood was well fitted out with a lot of extras. We were fortunate to have soap, shampoo, body wash as well as salt, oil, alfoil etc. There was dry wood under the house and the hosts had definitely put a lot of thought into their guests. Bunya was unbelievably beautiful, relaxing and incredibly quite.

It's always a pleasure to visit and stay in the Bunya Mountains, and this visit was no exception. Satinwood suited our needs well, with plenty of room for 4 adults and a 6 month old. Comfortable beds, a pleasant dining and sitting area, and a well equipped kitchen made for a pleasant stay, and the location in the in the forest gave us lots of birds and animals to watch (as a substitute for the spectacular views at some of the other houses). Our dealings with the Bunya Mtns Accomodation staff were helpful and friendly. Happy to recommend Satinwood to other visitors.

We have been to the Bunya Mountains many times and decided to stay on for the Sunday Markets, happy that we did. We just love the crisp mountain air, the walks and the wildlife and Satinwood provided a comfortable place to relax in the evenings, after a day out on the mountain.

Delightful location with abundant wildlife in the yard. We loved the hiking trails, the truly spectacular sunsets at RS Fisher Lookout and all the forest sounds. Satinwood cottage is very peaceful, has a well equipped kitchen, fireplace and a fabulous verandah with eating area and BBQ for enjoying outdoor meals at home. We loved it.

We warmed to the cottage after twenty years of being spoilt by Jacky Winter. The only issue we had was that the firewood stock had run down and all that was left was large logs which found very hard to split. We plan to come again!

a beautiful cosy home, has amazing wifi and singal, perfect for us who had to do work while we were there! Kitchen is amazingly well equipped - airfryer, coffee machine, toaster, milk frother - and everything else you could ever need! Stove also was great and warmed up so quickly.

I started inputting my comments but part way through the page closed and I had to start again. This is the second time we have stayed at Satinwood and our 6 stay with Bunya Accommodation. Satinwood is a well laid out home. The owners provide a nice bottle of wine as well as basic items such as condiments, paper towel and oils if you forgot them. As I mentioned on leaving, we could not get the BBQ to work even though there was some gas in it. Burners need replacing.

Very lovely house, very comfortable, perfectly clean. The top bedrooms (under the roof) are hot in summer, will be cosy in winter. Nice to have a front and back verandah, both with beautiful views. Overall very quiet and relaxing!

We loved the property! The interior renovations are excellent - colours and design were pleasing. Although the property was listed for 6 pers it would not have been suitable for three couples - only drawback is having only one bathroom - the two toilets were a must with one upstairs / one downstairs.

It was really nice, it’d be cool if there was a track to go through straight to the cafe from the houses instead of along the road and it was a little dusty but otherwise it was really nice

For the owner: please consider fixing the 2 sliding doors from lounge onto the front deck, and the concertina door to the laundry room. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you

Lovely quiet house. Good range of kitchenware, but couldn't find scissors! Lovely balcony out back, would be great to have some more comfy chairs. Bathroom seems to be recently re-done and is lovely. Some of the blankets could do with a wash- they were stained.

We had a lovely time at Satinwood which is well located in the cool forest with lots of birds visiting. The new bathroom was great and the kitchen well equipped for preparing our Christmas dinner. The accommodation is well priced but some things need refreshing to make guests feel happier.

I left a message in the visitors' book....the house was comfy and clean inside and we enjoyed the animals & birds. However, I felt that a large dose of tlc is required to restore it to its former glory. Also, we were unable to get the oven to work.
