Lovely clean home in a great position. We felt very welcomed and it was an easy check in. Very cosy with plenty of wild life around. Would highly recommend staying here.

Bunya mountains is a great place to go for a holiday, it was nice to experience cold . . . but most of all the walks and the nature.
Jenny Campbell
This was a lovely quiet home with most needs catered for.

We had a lovely (short) stay at Pitta Place. The cottage had everything you needed and was well presented and comfortable. What a beautiful part of the world the Bunya Mountains is. The staff at both Poppies Cafe and Bunya Bistro were lovely! Take care Deb and family

Nice little lodge. We were there end of Oct. There is fireplace but we didn't get to use it. Lodge has everything you need. 2 bathrooms/toilets come in handy. You wake up to bird chipping and overlooking wallabies hopping at the font yard. Unique feature of this lodge is the amount and variety of birds visiting at the back deck. Be careful of your breakfast. The king parrots are not shy and will approach you for food. Have bird seeds ready for them.

Lovely older style home. Very homely with fireplace, two bathrooms, extra blankets plus all kitchen appliances you need. Loved seeing the birds come to visit. Good selection of books, games and dvds also.

Love the Bunyas - from the cool misty evenings to the clear, crisp, air of an autumn morning! Birding is always an enjoyable activity with the satin bowerbirds, sulphur crested cockatoos and pied Currawong dominant at this time of year. But look closer and you with find rufous and grey fantails, superb fairy wrens, whip birds and brown cuckoo doves! If you are lucky, as I was, you might even spot the grey shrike thrush, a golden whistler or a crested shrike tit.
Josephine Wellings
Lovely accommodation with everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The back deck looks out toward rainforest and I spent my afternoon relaxing on the deck, watching a wide varsity of birdlife come in to visit. Recommend Pitta Place.

Lovely stay once again at Pitta Place in the Bunya Mountains. Misty with showers but managed some lovely walks. Well equipped, cosy, comfortable home in a great location. Saw a Regent Bowerbird in the forest behind the house. We will be back.

Comfortable little house. Once we got fire going we were very cosy. Very cold overnight but beautiful winter days. Found balcony quite shaded ( good in summer I guess!) but birds did visit. Walks great as usual. Home older style so did not have good outlook but ?? Only suggestion would be spring cleaning bathroom mould & windows Enjoyed our stay. Very minor criticism

We just loved our couple of days at Pitta Place. Perfect getaway, next time we will stay longer.

It is a wonderful experience, I love the fireplace and wood cutting experience. Thank you for the thoughtfulness, and everything that prepared in the house.

We have been to Bunya Mountains a few times. Our stay this time was very relaxed. It was specious time due to Christmas with family. Pitta Place is such a nice place to stay. Everything was well organised, tidy and clean. Thanks to accommodation team.
Gary Jeffers
A great house in a wonderful spot to watch the birds from the back deck. We all loved our stay at Pitta Place and are keen to go back.
Dianne BEITZEL
What a pleasant surprise! Our stay at Pitta Place was a wonderful experience. We were very happy to find many of the small things included for our stay. We enjoyed ourselves with minimal effort. Thank you for making our weekend a marvellous experience.
Irene Rossic
House was perfect - had everything we needed. The perfect size for winter with the fire heating up the whole house. Having 2 x bathrooms & toilets was a plus and the kitchen and dining areas were amply sized. The range of books available was excellent and we utilised a couple to identify some feathery visitors out the back :-) Was hoping to see king parrots and cockatoos but perhaps the house isn't on their flight path :-P Had an excellent stay and fantastic value.

Our Comfortable unpretentious cottage next to the rainforest provided a wonderful few days of walks, serenity and birdwatching. We lost count of the types of birds we saw. The house was lovely and warm on the cold nights once the fire got going.
Steven Reynolds
We selected this house to help accommodate all our wedding guests. It was beautifully fitted out and fitted their needs precisely. The location was very close to the venue (The Bunyas) and the stay was enjoyed by all.

It was our first time coming to Bunya mountains and we loved it! Our 3yr old loved feeding the birds and seeing the wildlife. The house was cosy and warm with the fire place & well stocked supplies like blankets, firewood, kitchen utensils and a few extras. Only suggestion for improvement would be cleaning the couches they are stained and dust comes out of them when you sit down, the place was very tidy and you could tell it had been cleaned but just old & run down therefore a bit dusty. Overall we loved our stay and would return. Place could just do with a makeover.
Stephen Sayers
Very clean and tidy, everything you needed Pitta Place, had beautiful walks and the two restaurants had beautiful food, what more could you want.
lisa chadfield
a basic but very comfortable residence. The birdlife really does make this home special though.
Wayne McGuire
I brought 3 international visitors to spend two nights. They enjoyed their stay so much they wanted to stay longer.
Howard Briggs
As indicated in the guest's book very happy with the accommodation - while old style, it was clean and with good features. We have stayed at least 9 times on the Bunya's, the third time at Pitta Place and happy to stay again at Pitta Place.
Cameron Beahan
Wonderful place, we’ll setup and in the most beautiful position. Quiet and the birds and other animals are wonderful. So relaxing and homey
Franz Schnetler
Beautiful, comfortable location in the in the Bunyas. Would love to come back.

Have no bad reviews for this property, was clean and tidy, very relaxing sitting on back deck watching bird life. Highly recommend this place to stay at

WE THROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY, VERY PEACEFUL, THE HOME HAS EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. VERY CLEAN AND NEAT. We hope to return again one day soon.
Tracey Gardner
I absolutely loved Pitta Place. As an avid birdwatcher I was in paradise - identified at least 12 different species just from the comfort of the deck, as well as being surrounded by wallabies early in the morning. The house was very functional and had everything I required.
Gaye Hobbs
It was a very nice house, lots of wildlife came to visit. The shower entry in the main bathroom was a little bit dangerous with a big step over the bath edge. My elderly mother stayed with me and she used the ensuite bathroom because she was scared of falling when she stepped in and out of the shower. If this could be changed, it would enhance the property.
Gregory Ohrenberg
We have now stayed at Pitta Place four times over the past twelve years. The house is aging, but still serviceable and very well equipped. Mostly we love the location, with three mature bunya pines in the back yard. The place is a bird magnet, and keeps drawing us back as well.
Clair Balfour
This is my fourth stay at Bunya Mts. I always enjoy the birds, the bush and quiet, calm atmosphere. This time I introduced my son to the place. As always, the birds are the highlights of our stay.
Ivor Evans
Absolutely perfect. Great ambience
Philip de Villiers
This house can really do with some TLC, it has huge potential but lacks the the finishing touches needed. Everything gives the impression of being very old and run dowm.
Chris Charles
Perfect for birdwatchers. Riflebirds, Catbirds, Regent Bowerbirds, etc come within 5m of back deck.
Bob Buchanan
Comfortable home with a great back verandah to watch the wildlife
Julien Moreau
We had a great stay at Pitta Place! The house had everything we needed, it was comfy and cosy.
Stephen Martin
The wildlife around Pitta Place was absolutely amazing. The water left in trays brings a steady flow of birds and wallabies. The house was a great layout for four of and room for visitors during the day. The back deck is where you'll spend your time enjoying what the Bunya Moutains have to offer.

Very neat, clean and well presented little house. Very well equipped kitchen and lovely comfortable bed & pillows (only used the Queen). Shame fire place doesn't face directly out into the lounge area but still warmed it up nicely. Lounge chairs not all that comfortable but we only stayed 2 nights so wasn't too much of an issue.
Jenny Blessing
We loved staying here. The back deck was great and the birdlife was amazing - we felt privileged to have satin bowerbirds visit the water dishes and even spotted a regent bowerbird (not at the house but out on one of the walks) . The wood heater kept the house lovely and warm.
GREGORY OHRENBERG
This was our third time at Pitta Place. The backyard water bowls attracted even more birds than usual on account of the drought, including a Paradise Riflebird. The house is not fancy, but it is clean, well equipped, and in a great location. It is hard for me to imagine coming to the Bunya Mountains and staying in a different house.
Geoff Lade
No batteries in tv remote. Front door hard to lock.
Julie Noffke
Cosy house, dated but clean and presentable
Helen Greenslade
Very dated accomodation for the price. The place needs a complete reno. Having a hand basin in the bedroom is unsatisfactory as we were too scared to use it for fear of putting water on the carpet. Crawling under the house to get wood is not ideal, as the wood in the yard was not in plain sight, but hidden under the trees.
Marie Cameron
Pitta Place was a comfortable house, and the bird life was an unexpected delight! We really enjoyed that. Problems were a broken toilet in the ensuite, and the gate to the estate being very difficult to open. For that reason, I probably would not book a house in one of your gated estates again.
Deon Cloete
Neat and cosy with everything you will need. The personal touches leaves a welcome feeling. Highly recommended.
