Lovely cottage close to the centre of Dandabah meant that we easily walked into the village each day and the car was only used once to drive to Westcott. Very well equipped kitchen and we loved the huge bath and modern bathroom. Our family of 6 enjoyed very comfortable stay in the cottage. A lovely long weekend including Anzac day service and Sunday markets.

The property was very food except the fire was very inefficient we found that it didn’t warm up the room notwithstanding that it had plenty of wood etc otherwise excellent place

Our time in the Bunya Mountains was nothing short of magical 💫 From our cosy and comfortable cabin MISTY (that contained many of the little extras that made it feel like home away from home) to the ambient natural surrounds where wildlife visitors literally become your new best friends! They are truly wonderful! This place is must see/do experience and I/we cannot recommend a better destination to escape and unwind in 🙌 We will miss our morning and afternoon walks, visits from adorable resident wallabies, the array of birds including Red King Parrots (that arrive in flocks and actually land on you! Bird seed is sold at the local store/cafe) the beautiful Blue Bowerbird (who welcomingly hops into the yard to find something blue, yes I gave him a blue peg from laundry, and to also nibble on the birdseed) the White Cockatoos, super friendly Currawongs and Magpies with the latter being my absolute favourite as they’re the best parents anyone could hope to have, the kookaburras, and a myriad of other local birds that call the BUNYA’S home. Their presence was an amazing treat and we cannot wait to return with a few specially selected ‘Blue coloured items’ 💙 👏

Had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Misty suited us perfectly for our two-night stay. It's well equipped, comfortable and handy to the store and to the walking trails from Dandabah. It was great to have wildlife come so readily to the backyard too.

Had a great weekend - lovely service at the local store and cafe/restaurant.

We loved our recent stay in Misty! It was the perfect size for our family and we all loved its quaint charm. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival and we were very impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked with implements/crockery etc. Beds were super comfy and the newly renovated bathroom was very much appreciated as well!

Thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable as ever. A great time to reconnect with nature and family.

The weekend was great as always. There were no major concerns.. a few minor things like there was no paper to start the fire... every other time we have stayed up there - there was paper there to help start it. Misty has a few small issues with doors not closing properly and just needs a bit of TLC to fix. We also suggest if possible that you improve the signage on the trails... just so it is really clear which path/s gets you back to the Cafe's and parking area. But all in all - a great weekend as always.

It was my first time visiting the Bunya Mountains and it was spectacular, we loved the cottage it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we will definitely return again next year.

Great location within easy walk to cafes and trails. Well appointed, very comfortable, cosy cottage with new bathroom - fabulous big bathtub (as well as shower) and plenty of hot water too. Good size laundry just makes life easy. We would definitely book again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bunya Mountains in Misty! The cottage was everything we hoped for and we look forward to many return visits in the future.

It was a unanimous vote between myself and my friends, on what cabin/ house to pick for our mini writer's retreat weekend. I am so glad we chose Misty; a beautiful little house with wooden flooring, a spacious back verandah (that directly backs against a view of a little slice of rainforest and lures plenty of lovely birdlife and cute wallaby neighbours), plenty of windows for natural lighting, not to mention an impressively large, upgraded bathroom. The house was well supplied, too; all items noted to be available were there and in working order. The highlight was staying during weather that lent itself to cool evenings, so we were able to enjoy the warmth and ambience of the fireplace. A big bonus: the house is really close (within walking distance) to the accommodation centre, cafe, mini general store, and also the primary rainforest walks! We would most certainly be happy to stay there again in the future.

Effecient friendly staff, Clean comfortable accomodation.

A relaxing stay over Easter. We were visited by rosella’s, king parrots, catbirds and of course red neck wallabies. The house has a lovely bathroom and adequate kitchen. Would love to see a dishwasher added to the kitchen. The setting is quaint and we would like to return at some stage.
Anne Hulbert
Most wonderful place to stay, very well appointed and very close to Bunya attractions
Lawrence Holloway
Misty is simply the best . You can relax while enjoying the wildlife from sunup to sunset. The wildlife is exceptional, make sure you have a camera, particularly between 2.30 and 3.30pm. The King parrots will give you some excellent photos. In my wife's words." Love, love, loved it". We have stayed here before and will again.

Gorgeous house nestled close to the main Bunya Precint. Chilly weather which was perfect for a weekend away

We loved our time, wish it was longer!! The fireplace was amazing and having wood provided was an added bonus!

Bunya Mountains was a great getaway. The rain forest was great with well maintained tracks and plenty to see. The bird life was amazing right there in the backyard of our cabin called MISTY. And the mist rolled in every night.
Peter Williams
Great house and location. Great facilities in the house including a very efficient BBQ. The checkin and key drop of system is easy.
Madison Smith
Really beautiful house and location. We were planning to have bbq dinners so was disappointed gas bottle was completely empty. Other than that really enjoyed misty
Michael Watson
A lovely little cabin in a wonderful location. The booking and check-in process was easy and painless, and we are already planning a return later in the year when the weather warms up.
Jody Martin
We absolutely love staying at the Bunya Mountains and go every second year and try different houses each time. We loved Misty's location and the bird life was exquisit. The home was lovely especially the bathroom and laundry facilities. The 2 story was beautiful with lovely views.
Janelle Stedman
My family has been staying at The Bunya Mountains for over 25 years. This was our first time staying in Misty. Its a lovely home very clean and comfy and has every thing you need for a relaxing stay in the mountains. Can't wait to come back again.
David Innes
Was a great holiday. Birdlife was amazing.
Joanne Elks
This is our 8th trip to the bunya mountains, and our first to this house. Short easy walk to cafe and shops. Loved seeing the wallabies and birds each day. Just with the shower. Found the floors very slippery. Enjoyed our stay, and are planning our next trip already.
Lawrence Holloway
Stayed 5 days. Both ourselves and the couple that stayed thoughougly enjoyed the stay. So much we have booked another 5 days. The wildlife and sounds were the best we have seen and heard for a long time. This is going to be regular holiday spot for us. Accommodation house had more than enough of everything. Can't recommend it enough. As Arnie said 'we'll be back'...
Kumala Moir
Great place to stay and hang out for a few days. Place was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to popular walks and local shops.
Tom Griffiths
I was intending to spend 3 nights at Misty, but had to leave before the third night because I spent the second night until 4am chasing mice out of our room. Multiple mice were eating our food and bats were squeaking in the ceiling. The chalet is also quite close to the main gate, so you hear the metal clanging and scraping any time someone exits or enters -- this makes it quite difficult to sleep in or nap in the afternoon. To the accomodation's credit, I was refunded for the final night that I did not stay, however I would have expected that the chalet that I am paying for would not have mice or bats inhabiting it.
Ana Foix Sallo
Loved the place. Highly recommend. Kids had so much fun! The wildlife was the highlight of the stay. Magic.
Debra / Warren Gaby-Brown
Hi. Loved just about everything. Only suggestiion - ceiling fans or air-con. The weather was very warm during our stay, and even with all doors and windows open, we were uncomfortable.. We would still recommend to our friends, but next time we would rather stay in the winter. Regards from Deb. and Warren.
Karmen Fullagar
Great place to stay, close enough to walk to wherever you need, but far enough away to feel secluded. Would stay again 😃
Natasha Vinen
Excellent. So clean and cute. The bathroom WOW!!!!!. Loved it.
Syd Collins
Loved this property and its position. Outside there were so many wallabies, many with joeys, and lots of birdlife. Inside the appliances were excellent. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery and the extras were appreciated. The bedroom arrangement was fine for us - grandparents, one parent and child. Would definitely consider staying again depending on our numbers and the relationships.
Peter & Sharon Brennan
Our first time staying in the Bunya Mountains and it was lovely. Misty was the perfect choice for us. Short stroll to both cafes and the trail entrance to the main walking tracks. We chose to pre-order a BBQ pack when booking our accommodation which was very good value and tasty. The BBQ was under the carport, would be easier to use if it was up on the back deck. Misty was very clean, neat and tidy with a comfortable lounge to relax on. Has had a recent bathroom reno. We chose to take our own linen and towels etc. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great deck out the front and back to enjoy all the wildlife that comes to visit. Booking on-line is very easy and picking and dropping off the house keys all very smooth. Will definately return to Bunya Mountains.

Hi Sue The house was beautiful like you said . No Improvements needed to House , Perfect

Delightful small home on the mountain which was perfect for the 2 of us but could accommodate another couple plus 2 children. Large practical living area. Extremely well equipped kitchen and great (new) downstairs bathroom. Downstairs queen sized bed comfortable (very firm). Found the wood heater a little difficult at times to keep burning but that may have been our inexperience! Easy rear access to house from the carport for loading/unloading. Great winter location - sun on back deck mornings and afternoons. Will definitely stay here again.
Dianne Hazel
1-3 April. We all loved the beautifully crafted timber ceilings - a work of art! The recently renovated bathroom is fantastic & so spacious. Plenty of animal & birdlife around the cottage & even a Sooty Owl on the verandah one night. Loved our stay & look forward to returning.
Amy Henderson
Misty is a great house to rent if you are a bird lover. Convenient, clean and lots of friendly visitors (birds and wallabies). Highly recommended.
Steve Ford
Loved the close proximity to the rainforest, which brought out the birds and other wildlife. Beautiful, well appointed house within easy walking distance to the cafe and shop. We will be back!
Dermot Ryder
We stayed at Misty and it was really enjoyable, loads of kitchen utensils, loads of firewood. House was comfortable overall. few small points that could be improved on but not entirely bad were the DVD did not work for us in both rooms. The bathroom only had one heater working so it was very cold to bath the kids. I would suggest supplying a heater for this room as it was very cold all the time even though we had the fire on.
Glen Hankins
Great spot. We will be back. Sofa bed couch not very comfortable. Micro bats in roof above single bed, at peak of A frame window.
Jill Jerrom
We loved our stay. It was so peaceful and the wildlife was amazing. The kids loved feeding the birds on the deck every day. The house was cosy and spacious. So nice to disconnect from technology for a week and focus on family time. Lots of different walks suitable for all levels and the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back soon!
Linda Lonsdale
Enjoyed our stay very much. I think I left a night light in the bathroom above the washing machine. It could be still switched on, and would therefore come on when it gets dark. I don't need it back, so it can stay there. Also, the pressure pump for the water, came on and off a lot(in short bursts) when we were using water. My husband thinks it needs attention.

We booked Misty for 2 nights, the house is a beautiful little cottage in the classic alpine chalet style with abundant use of natural timber and the classic steep sloping roof, the bathroom is well appointed and spacious. One of its features is the loft area which both of our children loved sleeping up there, it overlooks the living space. The house is very well supplied with everything needed and the back verandah looks out to it's own section of rainforest with abundant wildlife at your doorstep. We had a fantastic time together as a family and will definitely be back.
