We loved everything about it. The fireplace was a highlight for cold winter nights and wonderfully misty mornings. The abundance of birds that visit you on the deck was awesome - rosellas, king parrots, cockatoos and other species even the resident scrub turkeys were entertaining. Would stay here again.

This was our first stay in the Bunyas and we were not disappointed. The owners have done a wonderful job of renovating this property. The kitchen was very well equipped for self catering and the Nespresso pod machine was a welcome sight. Being the tail end of winter, it was still cold overnight so the fireplace was put to good use. We had trouble keeping it going to heat the house overnight but between the reverse cycle AC and individual heaters, it was easy to warm the house enough to be comfortable. I spent a fair bit of time on the back deck with the local birdlife, as many mugs of hot coffee as I wanted and a very good book. Hubby and our kiddo had plenty of fun with the table tennis table and we made use of the board games as well. The lookout is a short drive away - we were blessed with clear skies most nights and we went a few times to go stargazing. For those into astrophotography, it is a wonderful place for it. We didn't see any wallabies directly from the house, however we did see plenty of them grazing on the side of Rainforest Road. We also spotted an echidna and a few bettongs further up Rainforest Road when we were coming back late in the evening. We will be back again I'm sure!

The owners have done an incredible job of creating a cosy, contemporary, well equipped and thoughtfully curated cottage, that feels like a home away from home. Every detail has been considered to ensure once you arrive you are guaranteed to instantly relax and be comfortable. I loved sitting on the front deck in the adirondack chairs, with a wool throw and Nespresso coffee watching birds then gathering around the outdoor table for lunch in the sunshine looking out over the rainforest. Our children loved the beautifully sourced iconic Australian toys and we all enjoyed some family time playing card games beside the fire. Thank you for creating this serene space to enjoy this special location on the mountains where our family made some beautiful memories. We will be back!

I have stayed in this house previously, and the owners have done a spectacular job of the recent renovation. Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to see the return of some more wallabies. Next year will be our 10th year in a row visiting Bunya for our group.

Special time at Lillypilly Lodge on Labour Day weekend. Even the clouds and mist rolled in on cue! Great cabin for 5 of us across the 4 bedrooms and fun to have the log fire as the focal point of our indoor time.

Lillypilly Lodge has a lovely, welcoming, and cosy atmosphere to it. Plenty of options to eat inside or outside the house. Sofas and lounge chairs very comfortable while sitting around the wood burner. Convenient location to walk to cafes and walking trails. We loved it so much we booked it again for our next retreat.

Four adults + three kids + Lillypilly Lodge = a perfect weekend at the Bunya Mountains! It was far enough away from store, cafe and walking tracks to be private and quiet, yet close enough for all the conveniences. The house was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Especially loved the birds visiting the verandah every morning and afternoon, and the wallabies constantly grazing on the lawn. We hope to come back in 6 months for a longer stay!

Loved the house! Great position, walking distance to cafes and National Park walks. But so quiet and private - other than the sound of birds which at times was deafening - those cockatoos! Wallabies, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, Satin Bowerbirds and so much more. One morning I was sitting out on the back deck when the wallabies suddenly panicked and dashed away up the hill, closely followed by a huge dingo which had lept straight out of the rainforest. The house itself was everything we had hoped for. Very comfortable, with everything we needed and more. We will be back!

We have lost track of how many times we have visited now but every time is perfect. The houses are clean and cozy, we love the cooler weather and the chance to reset! We have a saying in our household, when we’ve had a bad day, “can we run away to the bunyas?”, it’s our happy place and we will always be so appreciative every time we get the chance to visit.

We had a great time for the two days at the Bunya Mountains, even though it rained for the entire stay - the Cafe and Restaurant were very accommodating for the eight of us. The wildlife kept us entertained, and we were lucky enough to witness a dingo on the day that we left.

We were really happy with our visit to Lillypilly. There were 6 of us for much of the time so we were well catered for. We even enjoyed doing two of the in house jigsaws on the rainy day. We liked the seats on the verandahs where we could watch the many birds.

Our first visit to the Bunya Mountains, and what a little gem this national park is.The accommodation and location were fabulous. Very clean and comfortable. Our only issue was a leaking tap which caused the water pump to go all night, an easy fix but unfortunately, we didn't realize it was a problem until we were trying to sleep. The queen beds were very comfortable, the single mattresses would be great for kids but not for adults. Also a warning about the gate being locked would have been appreciated as we rode our bikes to go to the Tavern and left the key at the accommodation with other guests and could not ride through the gate.Overall we had a lovely experience and would return.

Beautiful place for a long weekend - absolutely loved it. Lillypilly Lodge was the perfect house for us - had everything you needed and more. A little dusty but you’d expect that in the mountains amongst all the trees. Overall I would definitely stay there again. Wish it were mine!!

We were a group of bushwalkers and were quite impressed with this house. It was roomy for evening drinks, the kitchen had higher end items, and lots of outdoor options. I particularly like the back deck where the birds came to sit on your head! It was very reasonably priced so we will be back.

We had an amazing time at the Bunya mountains. Our first visit, so not sure what to expect, but it turned out better than we had hoped. The Staff at the accommodation centre were fantastic and helpful. Lillypilly lodge was awesome and had everything we needed. everyone was very comfortable and loved it . The wildlife was a huge hit , especially the birds. By the 2nd morning we went out to the front deck to be greeted by King parrots, Rosellas and Cockatoos. Oh and the mist was pretty cool as well. The walks through the forrest were fantastic and we all loved it. The best part was it was all so close by. Coming again in winter, for the frosty mornings and log fires.

Although Lillypilly Lodge looked a bit tired and worn from the outside compared to other properties, it was very clean, warm,cosy and comfortable inside and we enjoyed our short stay. The property has every little thing you could want or need, including bits we were advised to bring but did not need because they were there. The kitchen is very well equipped, and we did not want to be the first to use the brand new BBQ ! Beds and couches very comfortable, lots of lovely blankets and plenty of wood. We particularly enjoyed the birds that came to visit and had a lovely walk in the forest. Dealings with the accommodation centre were prompt, efficient and helpful. Look forward to returning.

Cosy beds and doonas, comfy couches, lots of kitchenware. The only thing I would change is there wasn't enough hot water for us all, but we managed. Thanks so much!

We had a wonderful weekend. Lillypilly Lodge is a well set out home and perfect for our needs. We made good use of the fireplace and the BBQ. One special feature is the deck enables great viewing of the little birds high up in the treetops. We also had visits from the king parrots, crimson rosellas and a Magpie family!

A most enjoyable stay. We loved Lillypilly Lodge. Very comfortable for 2 couples, and it would be perfect for 2 families with a double & twin upstairs + bathroom, and a double & twin downstairs + bathroom. Very cosy with a fireplace in a reasonably large lounge, an extremely well-equipped kitchen, and terraces with chairs and tables right around 3 sides of the house, plus an outdoor setting on the 4th side.

Loved Lilypilly Lodge. The queen beds were oh so comfy. Quiet area, Wildlife were in abundance, bird feeding off the patios everyday, possum feeding at nighttime. The lodge was spacious, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. A couple of recliners for the adults would have been great.

We enjoyed our stay and like the renovations to Lilly Pilly Lodge. There were a couple of things that we didn't realise - e.g. needing to bring our own axe to chop the blocks of wood into smaller kindling for the fire. The shower upstairs did not have good drainage and so the water pooled in the base of the shower quickly, which meant very quick showers or risking flooding. Also the back step up to access the washing machine is quite steep, perhaps a step would help. Having stayed in other homes up on the mountain, I was surprised to find no plastic storage containers (with lids) to pop left overs into. Sometimes these homes will also have a little bit of "cling wrap" or similar to cover food as well, but this one had no extras like that. Only minor things but I wasn't prepared so that's why I mention them. Overall we were there to relax and enjoy ourselves and we did exactly that.
