Our stay at God Shill West Wing in the Bunya Mountains was absolutely beautiful, the perfect escape from our busy, rushed lives. From the moment we arrived, we felt surrounded by peace and nature. The accommodation was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of our favourite parts was spending time outside feeding the friendly birds, it truly felt magical and created so many beautiful memories. The fresh mountain air, stunning views, and sense of calm made it an unforgettable stay. We left feeling refreshed and already can’t wait to come back!

This was our 4th stay at the property. The property is excellent, however a few disappointments this time. - no wood, was delivered on the third day. We had to take wood from a nearby property. - Gas bottle empty on arrival. Just made the closing time to replace. - the wood fire is old and not very effective. Place was still cold. -no working lights above bbq - Toaster half works. As mentioned the place is nice but for the money it needs some attention.

This accommodation is not suitable for winter weather. The fireplace is not adequate on its own and there needs to be some form of alternate heating eg. reverse cycle air conditioning. Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 nights in June 2022. It was a constant struggle to maintain even a small amount of warmth inside. The space is too large for one fireplace to heat adequately. Love the Bunya Mountains but we won’t stay here in the winter months again.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the West Wing. The area was very quiet around the house, with plenty of bird life and a possum! The house layout is very open and the large windows allowed great views of the surrounding area. The fireplace was a beautiful experience at night, with the cooler weather, however this does make the house smell very smokey, when all of the windows area closed. When we first arrived, we had to open the windows to get fresh air back in. The local staff in the general store and cafe were friendly and the food was great. We do think it would be great to have staff welcome you on arrival, when collecting the key, and on departure, to add that "personal touch" to the experience. Overall though, we would love to come back again. It was a lovely little getaway.

Staying for 2 nights at a premium price. Initially we were happy with what we had however as soo as we put the tv and heating on we lost power to all points. It was 8pm and in calling Bunya office it wasn’t open until 9am the next morning. We checked the outside fuse box and it didn’t say fuse was blown so our first nights experience meant it was a cold night for us. Which didn’t make my partner happy which Inturn had me feeling the same. What made it even more disappointing was that in going to the office at 9am the next morning the ladies were aware that this had happened a few times at this particular house and did not fill us in prior. This in my opinion is a duty of care and having heating in a nights stay of $450 a night is absolute minimum. So that’s our experience which unfortunately overused what is a nice property.

We were disappointed that the place wasn't opened up for our arrival ie. windows were all still closed and all blinds pulled down and the place smelled very musty and mouldy. There had been no wipe over prior to our arrival. Also was not aware that the one bedroom is part of a bigger house as this is not clear on the website. If there had been a big party beside us it would have been very noisy and not private. Paying over $400 per night we should have had a change of towels and bath mat and two hand towels. Very disappointed with the place for the price we paid as our friends had a four bedroom huge free standing house for $300 per night in the other gated community and it seemed like in comparison ours was very over priced.

Enjoyed the west wing I also had the other parts of GHL And GH S. It is a lovely property though there were some maintenance items needed addressing. Have given list to property company. More checking of property could help that. The great room was good for all of us to congregate in. Too hot for pizza oven. Such a pity.

We love staying at Godshill West Wing..just so comfortable and tranquil! Kitchen is fully equipped, bed is very comfortable, and we loved watching the wildlife whilst enjoying a spa bath. Loved the living room and fire place.. just perfect for couples. We will continue to come back as it's such a great place to unwind and refresh!

Stunning one bedroom - significantly larger than the pictures show. Lovely big king size bed, massive walk in robe and bathroom complete with spa, beautiful reading corner and desk area, and very large and well equipped kitchen. Beautifully maintained with stunning gardens. The bird life in the garden was incredible. Really enjoyed our time in the West Wing, and was well worth hiring the Lodge as well to get access to the Great Room.

Beautiful property with outlooks to simply landscaped gardens with lots of wildlife. Kitchen is well stocked with good quality cooking facilities and utensils. Very comfortable bed with much needed electric blanket. Everything perfect except for one major problem for this property in winter- it is very cold. Despite a moderate fire from late afternoon and an oil filled heater on high for the entire night, the temperature remained very low in the house. The lack of curtains and the single glazed windows seem to be the cause of this. We have lived in very cold climates so are used to cold weather, but even our thermals, thick jumpers and socks were unable to make the low temperatures tolerable. I would love to visit this property again in summer as it really is special and beautiful.

We had such a delightful two nights at West Wing this week. We enjoyed the open plan living & adore the large fireplace. A little feedback about the supplied toiletries; the shampoo and conditioner are horrendous. I can only liken the shampoo to dishwashing liquid and it leaves hair feeling like straw. The conditioner did nothing to alleviate the problem. The quality of the toiletries is not consistent with the luxury of the accommodation. Definitely bring your own shampoo & conditioner. The accommodation is beautiful, spacious and very private. The kitchen is well equipped and we would definitely book again in the future.

This is a lovely spacious room for 2. The original artworks and decor create a modern vibe and the fit out is high quality. Kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances. The king bed is comfortable. The only problem we had was that it was difficult to warm the room with the fireplace and the supplied oil heater, which didn't work. We were there during a cold snap and the office staff were helpful and gave us a replacement oil heater and an additional fan heater which, when used with the fireplace, warmed the room nicely.

Although the property is beautiful and well appointed in other regards, the heating is inadequate for the space. We were cold for the duration of our stay - yes we stayed during a cold snap but that is not unexpected in this part of Queensland. The log fire doesn't generate much heat - but is great to have for the atmosphere. A reverse cycle aircon unit is needed to make this a comfortable place to stay in the winter. Apart from that everything was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the electric blankets were appreciated. Godshill Westwing is in a peaceful location with windows looking over the lawns where wallabies graze.

The accommodation was great. It was spacious and clean. The private location was exactly what we wanted. We really enjoyed the wallabies, king parrots and rosella's which visited every morning and afternoon. Looking forward to returning.

WOW! What a beautiful thought out property. It was just what we needed, so peaceful and relaxing with everything we needed. From the wildlife to enjoy, to the comfy cozy bed and large bathroom and kitchen, the amazing windows to look out into the gardens, we were very happy with our stay. We are definitely coming back and really need to see the Mountains in winter time now, after seeing it in the summer months this time. Will be dreaming of our winter escape to use that enticing log fire inside.

We had a lovely weekend away. A few things however: It’s quite ridiculous requiring our own towels -and having to take home wet towels to launder ourselves. Also having to take out our own rubbish and empty our own dishwasher was not expected - especially for the cost of the accomodation. If they are the expectation, I would expect the nightly rate to be much less. Paying premium prices for accomodation and then having those requirements was unreasonable. There was also not enough kindling or smaller wood to start the fire. Had to buy fire starters - I also would expect there be sufficient supplies for a fire. Overall I felt it overpriced for what it was.
