This was our second visit to this property. The stunning views did not disappoint again BUT we have to say the huge picture window in the lounge looking across the vista was disappointingly dirty and in desperate need of a thorough clean of the dirty streaks and cobwebs which intruded and spoilt the view.. We noticed the grassed area outside and below the lounge and balcony/veranda was not fully mowed which prevented the kangaroos from making a feeding appearance on shortened grass like last time.

What a fabulous house! The owners had thought of every accessory we could want, all the furnishings and appliances were first quality. What really made it for us was the giant picture windows in the lounge room and the two(2!) desks overlooking the park. We will definitely be back!

Location - Stunning views of the valley from the top of the mountain. The house has everything you need, from a lovely balcony, modern bathroom to an indoor fire place. We loved every minute of it and will return next winter again.

Lovely property. Ideal for the 2 of us. Have already re-booked for next year. Only one issue. The log fire place would not stay alight. The flu adjuster made no difference when set to open or closed. Needs looking at. We gave up trying to use it and just relied on the A/C. This worked well but not quite the same atmosphere as a wood fire.

Awesome view great spot love the peace & quiet. This house is partially renovated, a few things let this house down. The 2 bedrooms have such old smelly carpet it needs replacing we didn’t walk on it with bare feet. Also no dishwasher I don’t know how any rental place can not have a dishwasher with COVID it’s essential. A few upgrades like the curtains in lounge, dishwasher and the carpet and this place would be tops.

We had an amazing stay at Far Horizons. The view from the house was stunning and the house had everything we needed. We drove down to the walking tracks and with small kids, we easily walked to the waterfall and lookout. When we arrived, there were wallabies and birds to great us and we even saw an echidna. The kids are already asking when we can come back.

Great location and view. It is time again for an "eye for detail" spring clean. The house did smell a little musty on arrival. It's a shame The Tavern was closed on Monday & Tuesdays, the days were there. Probably all in all, a little expensive for the offering.

This property was spacious, spotless and well equipped. The views are magnificent and the variety of wildlife amazing. We have come from the UK and being able to see cockatoos, rosellas and king parrots was just out of this world. We had a power cut but that was sorted out quickly once we called the out of hours number. We will be back when we next visit Australia.

Gorgeous home, stunning views. My only suggestion would be for a basket of toys for kids and some game boards for adults, otherwise brilliant and would stay again. Also, there was a smell that I thought was like turps. I feel that perhaps the floors had just been relacquered? I did need to have my asthma puffer and it was quite overwhelming.

Far Horizons is well named. It has the most amazing views from many parts of the house. This is a beautifully renovated home with a lovely deck at the back to soak up the views and the awesome night sky. The two bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the bed is very comfortable as well as having a lovely view from it across the countryside below. The lounge is spacious with high ceilings. The kitchen is well appointed and tastefully decorated also. The bathroom is modern but with an old world feel. The skylight is very appealing. The surroundings are peaceful and very quiet.

We were lucky to jag a cancellation in June and found ourselves staying in 'Far Horizons' which is aptly named. The panoramic view out the lounge window and from the back deck was breathtaking looking down the valley and out to the far horizon. The cottage has been renovated with lovely fittings and was cosy and comfortable. Perfect for two couples. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The coffee pod machine was welcome addition too. The markets were on the weekend we stayed as well so that was a bonus.

This was our fourth year staying at what we call "our little house" Far Horizons. It never disappoints. The views are amazing, especially at sunset. There is a big picture window that you can also see the amazing view with the fire roaring. And even though a few houses around you, it feels very private. The house is comfortable and incredibly well appointed and provides everything you need. (especially the linen and fire wood) This year we got to video a gorgeous little echidna close up in our back yard. We always get parrots and cockatoos and of course the little pademelon around everywhere keep us entertained. The walk into the little village is easy and always good after big feed or a few wines. The walks are wonderful and we've done all of them now. Just a warning though the council run Russell Park Walk is a bit of challenge (the path is actually cut a couple of points by thick vines and is fun to find your way through) and fairly overgrown uphill to Little Mowbullan. If you like a challenge go for it. The national park walks are all easy and well maintained. It is a beautiful part of the world and in winter for us, the best time to go.

Highlights: modern toilets, amazing balcony specially for star gazing, superb views from the drawing area as this side has an entire glass wall. Definitely looking at coming back again.

An absolutely lovely relaxing environment. We enjoyed the wild life which came for a visit every morning and afternoon as well. The house was very comfortable. The fireplace was well used even though it was springtime although a fan or air con would have been useful as the days warmed up. The meal packs were a wonderful added bonus to our stay. If the bed had a mattress topper I think the stay would have been perfect. Thank you to the lovely ladies at the accommodation centre for all their help with our booking.
