Fantail Cottage is a lovely property. It provides all the basics and a few welcoming extras. The sleeping arrangements for us (4 senior women) worked really well. The beds were comfortable and the st up was cosy. We had plenty of space and were able to enjoy bush walks, cafe walks and the environment and fauna of the Bunya Mountains. I can recommend it.

After many years of staying at the Bunya Mountains, Fantail Cottage is possibly the best accommodation we’ve ever had in the mountains. It was the perfect size and location which was great but the true standout is that the cottage had everything we needed, from salt and pepper to cooking pans and utensils. It is by the far the best set up accommodation we’ve had the pleasure of staying in at the Bunya Mountains.

As a family of 5 we wish the hot water system was bigger so we could enjoy the beautiful bathtub as well but understand it is tank water too. This was a lovely place to stay. I would highly recommend it! I would definitely stay here again! There were lots of little extras that made it very welcoming like tea and coffee, shampoo and soap and even a bottle of wine! It even had internet if you need that. We loved it!

Fantail Cottage is a little gem. Originally, we were sad when we couldn’t get into one of our regular homes but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We have a new favourite house for when we come away as a couple or just with my parents. Great location and easy access. Very well appointed property with unexpected and additional items available - board games, dvd collection, basic pantry (condiments, storage bags etc) and cleaning items. Log fire very effective, the whole cottage felt warm and cosy. Very clean and well maintained. WiFi not operational was the only downside even tho directions were followed and repeated! Not a big issue tho as the idea is to get away from all that! Would definitely return.

We had the most amazing time at Fantail Cottage. The cottage is so well equiped and comfortable and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay, and more. The bed was also very comfortable. The bird visits on the back deck are such a treat. The Bunya Mountains are so beautiful with the most amazing walks and great restaurant and coffee shop. The cottage is so close to everything we hardly needed to move our car. I will definitely recommend Fantail Cottage to my family and friends and we will be back. Loved every minute of our stay here. We went home feeling very peaceful and refreshed.

Fantail Cottage was a pleasure to stay in for three nights. We could easily have stayed another three nights! It is a very well set up home with everything you could possibly need. It has a large kitchen and a newly renovated and stylish bathroom. Fantail Cottage is roomy, very comfortable and cosy. It includes lots of lovely little extras which help to make it special. The outlook is picturesque and peaceful. We had a wonderful break and look forward to returning in the future.

This cottage is gorgeous and exactly as it appears in the photos. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need from glasswear to nibblies plates and clip seal bags. Views from the front and back verandahs are green and peaceful and the wallabies and birdlife are calm and friendly. It's a quick walk to the Cafe and the Tavern - we were visiting for a wedding and the reception was held at Poppy's Cafe, with quite possibly the best meals we've ever had at a wedding. We had 3 adults in the cottage and there was more than enough room. The only negative we could mention is that the bathroom was terribly cold, however we just moved the heater from the downstairs bathroom as needed. The reverse cycle air-conditioning upstairs in the loft kept that area warm and comfortable, while the fireplace worked well on the living and kitchen space.

Love love love this magical little house. Have been coming to the Bunyas since 1989 and have stayed in quite a few different houses with family and friends this time it was just the 2 of us for just 3 nights this house is so well equipped with everything you need it was so warm and cosy with the fire, electric blankets lots of throw blankets, loved the stand alone bath tub. The weather wasn’t very good lots of rain but we just sat back and relaxed for a change. A lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of wine. We will definitely be back to this accommodation hopefully for a bit longer next time. Many thanks to the owners who have thought of everything ❤️😊

We loved fantail cottage!will definitely itky be back again one day. The cottage had a lot of charm. The kids loved there room. The timber ceiling was spectacular. Lots of games and DVDs, we especially loved the cards table. Comfortable donnas and pillows. Large kitchen! Best of all was the location, right on the edge of the forrest. We had many bird visitors, and even a dingo.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area. The cottage was well appointed. What did spoil it for us, there was no chopped wood in the box outside. I am of the age where chopping wood is not recommended, therefore not able to use the fireplace, which was a shame as it was very cold. Perhaps it should be a question ask when people book accommodation , are they able to chop wood.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. Bush walks and feeding the birds were highlights. While the fireplace was nice, it did a poor job of heating the cottage because the baffle plate was missing, so most of the heat went out of the chimney or to the top of the cottage, and the ground floor remained quite cold even when the fire was roaring. It would be great if this was remedied for future winter guests. A sweet cottage with plenty of cosy nooks for reading. We had a relaxing time.

I had such a wonderful stay in Fantail Cottage. It had absolutely everything I needed for cooking my baked dinner, plus as a wonderful gift a complimentary bottle of wine! I was able to have a fire with plenty of wood and lighting materials. Birds came for afternoon visits in the back deck and picking up and returning key was made easy with drop off box. Love my yearly stays in Bunya.

This was our 2nd stay in this little cottage. This time we noticed the shutter blinds have a few broken behind the egg chair when we arrived. Loved sitting in this chair so relaxing. Beds again are very comfortable. The kitchen taps were a bit annoying as they are very hard to turn on and off very tight and the tap had a drip. Some of the saucepans don’t have lids and there is a steamer pot that doesn’t fit any saucepan. Also the pantry where the plates are kept had an awful smell of maybe Kerosene or something similar. So didn’t want to put any of our food in there. Really enjoyed the bath tub. And the shower is awesome. We had lots of birds visit and also a bandicoot at night. We will be back to this magical place next year again we have been visiting almost every year since 1990. Staff are always very pleasant.

Lovely comfortable house, with a nice modern feel. Very well appointed and well-stocked. We stayed a week and enjoyed birds coming to the verandah for birdseed (we had six cockatoos at one time!), wallabies lounging on the lawn, lighting a fire, relaxing in the big bath and sleeping in the comfortable beds.

We visit the Bunya Mountains regularly. Fantail cottage proved to be one of.our favourite stays so far. The accommodation was well presented, clean, warm and homely. Nothing has been overlooked and all the comforts of home has made this stay one of our favourites to date.
