We had a fantastic time at Daydreams. Relaxing on the verandah and watching the birds was lovely. The beds were cozy, and the place had all the essentials we required. Being just a short walk to the cafe and the tavern was awesome. We didn't use the fireplace since it was pretty warm in Spring, but it would be great to return in the winter.

The Bunya Mountains were fantastic. In the middle of Winter the air is cool and clean. The rainforest trees were inspiring. Our favourites were the big Bunya’s, Figs, Quandongs, Lacebarks, Giant Stinging Nettles, and Red Cedars. The accommodation (Daydreams) had a large Bunya Pine in the front yard, and some little Red Cedars down the side. Rainforest birds visited the front yard several times. The tavern was wonderful for dinner, and Poppies Cafe was excellent at breakfast. Overall the experience was amazing.

Great property for the two of us on a 3 day stay. Great verandah to sit and read and watch birds. Comfy bed and lounge. Warm as can be on a cold night. Great shower, cooking area. The outside of the house could do with a clean and freshen, but overall really good.

I really expected this cabin to be quite basic, but was very pleasantly surprised. It was well appointed, modern and with mountains of blankets, electric blankets and quilts to keep up warm. The kitchen too had everything we needed. From an environmental perspective it was great to see refillable dispensers of shampoo soap etc, so much better than those awful plastic bottles. Daydreams is an easy stroll to the walking tracks, cafe, general store and bistro. All round a wonderful place to stay. I will back in the spring to enjoy all that the warmer season has to offer.

A lovely little cottage in the mountains. Well-appointed, comfortable and value for money. Visited daily by a myriad of exotic birds and other wildlife which made sitting outside on the very welcoming verandah an absolute pleasure despite the cold temperatures of July.

Wildlife at our door step, accommodation had everything we needed and more. It was cosy , recently renovated, very clean and comfortable and walking distance to everything. We did the 10km bush walk, followed by great coffee and lunch at Poppies cafe. Two great meals at the bistro. Staff at the accommodation centre were very helpful with maps and information. Can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed the cottage and especially its birds. However, our stay was affected by a blockage to the drainage from the shower, which resulted in water covering the floors of both the bathroom and the kitchen. This was eventually fixed by handyman Fletch, but did affect our stay significantly.

Situation is perfect 👌. For two old people the size of the property is very comfortable. Daydreams is well equipped and it was lovely sitting on the verandah watching the abundant wildlife. However, the house had a very strong smell of smoke when we arrived. We aired it out but the smell persisted. We also noticed when we arrived home that our clothes smelt of smoke. Also, despite the newish floor coverings and furniture the interior looked shabby due to the stained paintwork.

Beautiful and cosy cottage, perfect for a small family. The bedrooms and lounge are very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are a bit outdated but very spacious. I loved how there were toys, books, puzzles and dvds for my 4 yr old. Very thoughtful ! The location is great for access to the shops and walking trails.

The place was OK. As it is a old house, quite a lot of insects inside the house. Have to kill at least 10 spiders inside the unit as my kids are terrified of the spiders. Likewise, there were lots of ants in the kitchen. No fan in the main bedroom. As there were lots of holes in the window fly screens, we were bit worried about leaving the windows open. In the middle of the night, it became really hot inside the bedrooms. May be some fans in the bedroom would be a good idea especially during summer.

Daydreams was a blast from the 60s but very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Good comfortable beds, warm doonas. The queen bed had an electric blanket. It would have been nice to have had one on the singles as well Excellent log fire, plenty of wood. They supplied an oil heater which we put in the bathroom before showering. Lovely deck out front with comfy chairs and dining table. The sun came on the deck in the afternoons (this was in July). The sun was out the back door in the mornings but alas no where to sit, although there were some old plastic chairs in the wood shed. Easy walking to everywhere. I would certainly recommend Daydreams.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Daydreams. It was a long weekend so the park was busy but we could walk, go for coffee, play boardgames & puzzles. The sounds of the forest particularly in the morning and the birdlife were fantastic. Daydreams is neat & tidy with good supplies. Kitchen & bathroom are clean but dated but the water was hot! Thoughtful items such as glad wrap and placemats made things very pleasant. Had a lovely rest.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Bunyas. The house was clean, comfortable and well equiped for us (4 adults). Electric blankets were advertised but not provided so this was a bit disappointing as it was very cold the first night. We struggled to chop the wood for the fire place but after an SOS call to the office, someone came and chopped some for us which was much appreciated. It was a short stroll to the walking tracks and shop. We had the best coffee at Poopies each morning with delicious Bunya nut scones. The walks are well worth doing.

We spent two nights in Daydreams. This was a cosy, well maintained little cottage that was very relaxing. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the cooking utensils, crockery and glasses that you could need. The pot belly stove really heated the whole House which was lovely. The whole experience was very positive and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with.

House was perfect for our weekend away, it was clean and very comfortable, fire place was good too. Kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of board games, books, and DVD movies to choose from if you just want to relax on the couch for the day. Electric blankets are really useful (for the winter). Cafes nearby are good. Definitely try the Bunya Nut ice cream.

Lovely cosy cottage with great wood burning fire which has oven compartment. Good kitchen and sofas. Lots of birds and wallabies. No fans or air conditioning so probably not a summer cottage. Only problem was a noisy bed with mattress past it’s best. Been coming to the Bunyas since early 60s and always lovely to return to good walks and nature.

Had a wonderful few days in this cottage. I chose it because it was close to the village and walking tracks, and even though it was on Bunya Ave there was very little traffic. The accommodation was comfortable and the kitchen had a great supply of equipment. Would stay there again.

We recently spent 5 wonderful nights staying in Daydreams cottage. The accommodation exceeded our expectations (the photos don’t do it justice). It was comfortable and cosy, with lovely furnishings. The beds were super comfy, there were an abundance of conveniently placed power points, and the kitchen was an absolute delight to cook in, with everything we could possible need. Very conveniently located, a short walk to cafes, hiking trails and the monthly Sunday market. The kids loved seeing the wallabies outside our door. We particularly loved the comfy outdoor furniture on the front verandah..I spent many happy hours snuggled under a blanket reading and we ate several meals outside around the table and chairs. The log fire was easy to operate and heated the whole cottage in no time at all. It really was exactly the break we needed and we would return in a heartbeat!

This little cottage was perfect for us, where the rain meant we were inside more than expected. But your world up there is so so wonderful and peaceful, as well as lots of birds. But the unexpected discovery was the whiskey bar at The Bunyas. That just topped it all off.

Daydreams was perfect for our 3 night visit and we loved the location. Highly recommended. We felt we had everything we could need for self catering and it was very comfortable for sleeping. The verandah and BBQ is also perfect for evenings.

What a great little cottage, very comfortable, a very well equipped kitchen and fabulous birdlife just outside our windows. We saw king parrots and satin bowerbirds, amazing. Will definitely stay there again.

My sister, brother and I stayed at Daydreams and loved it. Breakfast on the veranda was a particular pleasure as at least ten species of birds visited the lawn in front of us. Daydreams seems to be a 1970 build and looks a little old fashioned. However, being obviously loved by the owners, well maintained, comfortable furniture and everything you could want in the kitchen including egg rings. The location is also excellent being a short walk to the forest tracks while away from the bustle of the cafes. My sister is already planning to include Daydreams on their next road trip. We are happy to recommend Daydreams.

Cottage was perfect for our family. Bit disappointed when we first arrived....the house had quite a musty and "closed up" smell...as if no-one had stayed there for a while. The power had been turned off at main switchboard and clearly had been off for some time. The fridge was still closed and some very bad smelling liquid had pooled at the bottom of it and dribbled out in front of it...pretty smelly and yuck. It cleaned up all right though and we were able to use the fridge once we aired it and the power was turned back on.
