Minimum Stays:
- 2 nights minimum
- 3 nights on Long Weekends from Friday- Monday
- 4 nights Easter and Christmas (no arrivals or departures Christmas day, Boxing day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday)
- 3 nights minimum during June/July School Holidays

Better late than never. My wife and I were lucky enough to be the first to stay in this great little house. Very comfortable bed and the layout was perfect for us to enjoy the area for a couple of nights. We both feel we may need to stay longer next time to enjoy the birds that visit and to walk more of the tracks. Considering it was mid-December when we stayed the weather was perfect with overnight temps being nice and cool.

We stayed at this lovely house for a few nights. It was so cosy and relaxing! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place for everyone looking for a relaxing weekend. There is no reception, so you will also have information/social networks detox, which is so enjoyable. A few suggestions for improvement: - water filter is needed. We had to buy water to drink and brush our teeth as tap water didn’t look clean. - a rug in front of the couch would be nice as floors are very cold even when fireplace and air conditioner is on. - a few more movies (disks) to watch.

The Cubby House is a nice little cabin set in amongst the trees. The outside staging may not be to everyone's like but can appreciate what is trying to be done. Was nice to have some outdoor furniture to sit and watch the local birdlife.

We loved walking the Scenic Trail and Paradise to Barkers lookout walks. We had a good dinner at the Bunya Tavern Restaurant. The Cubbyhouse is located in amongst the Bunya trees and we were there in winter and the Bunya Mtns are cold so bring your woollens.

Always nice to return to the Bunya Mountains in winter. However Cubbyhouse is a strange one. Room for a couple, but furnished like a child care centre. Huge uncomfortable bed next to a double showered bathroom, delightful fireplace underneath the TV DVD entertainment unit and plenty of firewood inside and out in the nearby shed. The lacklustre kitchen and stove certainly needs some work and a good overall clean would have been appreciated. Probably not a property we'll book again.

We enjoyed our stay at Cubbyhouse. The only issue we had was the overgrown driveway which put scratches on the side of our car, getting in the first time. I had to trim the branches back to avoid further scratches.

Was really relaxing. The Birdlife and animals were so nice to wake up to. The whip birds were great. The kitchen wasn't but g but was very roomy for its size. We spent most our time on the verandah. Only things that may need attention was the aircon not cleaned the lights near bed were still dirty the ceiling cobwebs. But we did show up with short notice. We will be back for need of relax. The accommodation staff was very nice apon arrival. Very pleasant. Thanks again see you soon 😁

Great to be at Bunya mountains again ,just love it . Cubby house really didn’t like the Decor strange Doona Cover and art work ,I thought it must be for couples with a child not Senior's .

Impressive modern building ( Cubbyhouse ) well set out with spacious double shower bathroom. Very nice. Kitchen was spacious with decent size fridge but suffered from mediocre electric stove, decrepit old frypan, odds and sods collection of cutlery and glassware. One got the impression that these items were supposed to be dumped but the provider had second thoughts, ie; that rubbish will be good enough for paying guests. The mattress was comfortable but there was a gap between it and the ( rustic ) bed head, my pillow kept disappearing into that gap. The “ wardrobe “ was a couple of tree branches with a rod to hang clothing. Definitely not functional. The bed head was also a collection of tree branches, also not really functional. The table and chairs, naaaah. The aircon was superb as was the wood fire. There was plenty of firewood, axe and splitter. All in all the place was pleasant and comfortable. I would visit again. Staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful.

The Cubbyhouse is a wonderful setting for anytime you want to escape and relax. It is beautifully appointed, surrounded by Bunya trees and other rainforest plants, and full of gorgeous birdlife. I saw about 20 different species including the very elusive Whip Bird (and quite a few scrub turkeys). I was left longing for the next opportunity to book a stay. If you love peace and quiet, then the Cubbyhouse is your destination!
