Brindavin was absolutely stunning and so peaceful. Away from others which is perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Postcard views and the sounds of native birds. Just spectacular.

Family of four stayed in April 2021. Brindaban has spectacular views on all sides and a great '80's Indian boho' decor that we loved. Nice cosy wood fire and plenty of wood provided. Fantastic to have privacy away from other cabins. In high wind on the first night the house was groaning and moving around which took some getting used to. My elderly mother had trouble with the toilet as it is very low down so I'd suggest some hand rails be installed. The gas cook top is in need of some attention as the range hood light was not working and a couple of knobs were in the wrong position which made it feel unsafe to use. I mentioned these issues to staff so hopefully these things will be fixed. The beds were very comfy with nice pillows and sheets and electric blankets welcome on colder nights. Overall a great place to stay and much enjoyed.

The highest spot on the mountain, absolutely beautiful and the view is to die for. The house is clean and good hot water. We had a wonderful time and very restful.

Brindavan Lovely character house , high on the top of Mt Mowbullan. Commanding views to the East and West , with amazing Sunrises and a star studded blackness which is hard to put into words. A true feeling of isolation and comfort , especially with the log fire burning . Thank you .

We were there for my daughters wedding and all had a fantastic time there, the people, food, things to see and do, everything was brilliant

We really enjoyed our stay here for our honeymoon. We appreciated the electric blankets and the fire for the cold nights.

What a gem of a location - privacy and all those views to ourselves, right on the lookout away from the rest. Comfortable house. Will re-book this house again for next visit.

enjoyed our stay, comfortable house- wood heater heated whole house, hot water was hot.. comfortable furniture. it was raining for most of our stay and had to be very careful carrying luggage, etc up the steep wooden slippery outside stairs(the only entrance to house), even though both are fit and healthy. would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.

We thought it could have been updated a bit. Curtains with rips in them and wall hangings left a lot to be desired. Would advise others to take kindling for the fire. We had the fire starters and matches and newspaper but had go to the shop to buy kindling to start the fire. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay. Check in a check out was very easy. Views were to die for. Had great mobile phone coverage.

-it’s got beautiful views and birdlife, but with a few improvements it could be top notch

A lovely property in an amazing position! The views from all sides of the house were fantastic, as a keen photographer the views and the birdlife and Astro photography opportunities from the house were awesome. The bed was comfortable and the fireplace was great on the chilly nights. A very enjoyable 3 night stay, thanks very much.
Michael Bock
A great house with outstanding views and very comfortable.

Fantastic position and lovely views and house. Comfortable beds and good facilities. The fireplace was very easy to use and maintain. We loved the property and would recommend to others. Thanks Carol and Peter

We were very happy with our Brindavan accommodation. It was a little out of the main village. This was made up for by the spectacular views. A bonus to have an electric blanket for the chilly nights!

Everything was perfect plus more!! Did not want to leave. We will be back.

The team at Bunya Mt were fantastic. We've stayed ar Brindavan a number of times over the last 5 years, as it suits our needs perfectly. We'll be back again!
Sam Acason
Lovely views. Bit of a steep driveway but nice and private spot.

Had a great two night stay at Brindavan. Cute little cabin, well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay and great value. The little Weber BBQ was happily put to good use each evening on the balcony. High up on the hill we were afforded beautiful views and visits by an abundance of birdlife. No issues with mobile reception (via Vodafone) and mobile data for those not wanting to totally switch off. The cabin is a short drive down the hill to the cafe and walking tracks.
Bek Johnstone
Beautiful as always. A little hidden gem on the mountain.
Kim Reidy
Good house with great views and easy access to local lookout and walking trails.
Gary Lewis
Even though the weather wasn't kind for part of the time we were there, the mountains were beautiful. The views were amazing and the bushwalks, even though we only did one were really good. It was also nice to see all the different wildlife, especially the birds and the roos'. A really good place to take the family, know matter what the age (and there were lots there of different ages). Even though we had minimal interaction with the staff at the office, everybody working there, the store or cafe were very pleasant and helpful. Would we go back, yes we certainly will.
Brad Mitchell
Absolutely stunning views! By far the best on the mountain in my experience. Beautiful spacious property. A few minor issues like the shower door handle and sliding screen door off the main living area not closing properly but didn't take away from the experience. My only criticism is the timber beam accross the driveway access at the look-out carpark. It has some weight to it and not so easy to shift. As a result I left it open which led to some people walking and even driving up the track which took away from the privacy to a degree. I would recommend perhaps a chain instead.
Georgina Pratten
Beautiful private location above the lookout - great for self-sufficient couples or small groups.
Paul Bland
We loved our stay at Brindavan. The setting is magnificent with views on two sides and a lovely, comfortable house designed to take advantage of its location. The physical details of the property were perfect: comfortable bed, lots of hot water, immaculately clean and warm on a cool morning. My only criticism is of the driveway to the property. This would not be an issue if you have a high clearance or four wheel drive vehicle but there had been rain before we arrived and the eroded track was a slippery challenge to our sedan. We made the journey only once; after that, we parked the car in the lookout carpark and walked up. We would definitely return and we are grateful that we had the chance to stay a Brindavan.

Staying at Brindavan is to literally stay above the clouds. Amazing views. Totally private. A great home with everything you need for an enjoyable stay at the Bunya Mountains.
Craig Smith
Although it was very wet, we had a great stay. We are frequent visitors to the area and find it enjoyable each time we visit. The house we stayed at needed a bit of maintenance but certainly not enough to whine about. During fine weather, the views would be fantastic. The house was tidy, clean and easily accessible. Booking and check in was easy and no fuss. I always find the people in the Bunya Accommodation office very pleasant and good to deal with.
Kirra-Lee Gaschk
Our time at Brindavan was very enjoyable, amazing views.

Great place. Great view. Very peaceful.
Jonathon Ludwig
What an amazing place to stay. Leave the curtains open and wake up to the best view you've ever seen. Walk 100 metres up the hill for the best sunset you've ever seen too. We absolutely loved it and will be back

Need to review state of access road. Low small 2wd might struggle. Wood stove cannot be latched securely. Major safety issue. Must have been in this condition for years! Tin openers useless. Bbq falling to bits. Otherwise a great place with wonderful views. Enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Stayed at Brindavan, the highest accommodation in the mountains. Loved walking out onto the deck to watch the sunrise every morning (in my PJ's) and walking down the drive to Fishers Lookout to watch the sunset. Found the house very clean with everything that we needed. The only negative was the communal driveway going up the hill to get to the property. The grass was very long in the driveway as you entered and, going up the slope, some of the driveway had been washed away a bit on one side with the other side slippery mud. We only just managed to get up in our hatchback. We enjoyed walking along quite a few of the trails through the majestic forests of the mountain, watching all the birds, and seeing 3 snakes sunning themselves. We will be back one day, it is such a beautiful and peaceful area.
Michael Ryan
We had a great time at the Bunya Mountains and the view from the accommodation was lovely. The fire was great and kept the whole house warm. Also enjoyed the coffee from the Coffee Shop every morning. Recommend the Bunya Mountains as a must visit
Ed Schache
Lovely place to stay away from the crowds. A fairly basic house showing some signs of wear and tear but certainly functional. The living space is large and open which was good with 2 noisey kids but harder to keep warm with the fire. Good views when you're not burried in the clouds. Brindavan will be an even better location once the walks at the lookout reopen. Driveway is a bit rough and muddy and then a long section of concrete with no turn around, probably not the best for low cars or people that aren't confident reversing up/down the hill.

A lovely, cosy little cottage with awesome views. We keep going back to it!
Lucas Belz
4th time staying here and loving it, views of entire valley including seeing Tarong Power Station generate your power and seeing far off in the distance to Toowoomba and Dalby. Quite amazing. House has a new fireplace which keeps the house toasty warm. Better than the Hilton...
Bryan Worn
Good location for the views but a bit of a walk to the café. Nice and quiet at night. Bring your own milk etc.
Brett Martin
The location, the view and log fire was amazing, the house had everything you need I would recommend this house to anyone.
Julianne Thomson

Brindavan is a lovely setting if you want peace and quiet. Even away from the hustle and bustle of Dandabah! The house is a bit tired, but the location is superb. Main complaint is the entrance drive. Chopped up quite deep in places. Prior warning of this should be given at booking time. A small low 2 wheel drive vehicle struggled with a full load when arriving. If rain settled in, the steep driveway would be impossible to climb. This would have been known about for years. It should be warned about before accepting a booking!

The best view on the Bunyas. The house needs a bit of maintenance so was a little uncomfortable.
Kevin Sullivan
Lovely private cottage, close to everything.
Sheryl Carr
What a beautiful environment and Brindavan was a delight to see it all from. This is an amazing house, perched right at the top of a big hill with amazing views. Easy drive to get into the village where the walks start from as well as the cafe and tavern. This area in the village is also beautiful. The house is well appointed with all you need for your stay and is very comfortable with respect to the living and sleeping areas - beds are comfy. Very adequate shower and bathroom/laundry facilities as well. Really makes you feel the same comfort as your own home and also has two lovely balconies to take in the view. It rained quite a bit, so it was important that staying in was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If going to the Bunya Mts, I would definitely recommend this house.
Jennifer Johansen
We really enjoyed staying in Brindavan. It was so nice to be high up and away from other houses. Everything was as advertised and very comfortable.

Amazing view!!! But poor quality of cleaning things for kitchen such as small washcloth, only one small garage bag, lack of matches for gas stove, not working BBQ, terrible frying pans.
Brian Sinclair
Love the location, and the view up at Brindavan. No neighbours, and good phone reception.

We’ve been going to the Bunya Mountains for over 20 years and just love it. Brindivan has great views to the east and south east, a decent fireplace and plenty of wood to keep us warm, and the morning sun on the main deck was so nice. A very clean and comfortable house and close to some of the newer non-national park tracks. The only downside was the driveway which was a bit tricky for a two wheel drive car and after rain it was too slippery to get up to the house, but it was easy enough to park at the lookout and walk up. Overall a really nice spot for a weekend away.
Fabrice ROCHAT
Great view in a nice environment !

Everything was perfect! Amazing views and the staff and Bunya Accomodation centre are so so helpful. Special thanks to Kylie!

My husband and I have been coming up to the Bunyas for many many years. Mostly for our wedding anniversary.. this year being our tenth wedding anniversary we didn’t want to go anywhere else but up to the mountains. We have tried many different houses up on the mountain. We did have a favourite but when it got some very very close neighbours we started to look for a new favourite.. we like quiet secluded not too particular about decor. Not that fussy. So we tried a new one this time. Its secluded location was fabulous the views superb. The driveway not as scary as everyone warned us lol. But the house is old and dated. And quite dirty. Mould in bathroom. Cobwebs everywhere…windows and screens either so dirty full of dirt and fluff you bearly can see through or just big holes in them. Nothing to bad to ruin our stay but not what we have ever incurred before up on the mountain. The service I’ve always received booking is always the best. Nothing is ever a problem even when I book then cancel then rebook they just laughed and helped me so much. I so look forward to coming up every year. Just wish we have more time to stay and to visit more than once a year. But we will be back. This hasn’t deterred us. Just an excuse to try another house.
Glyn Rimmington
It is an old house, not well insulated. The couches are uncomfortable. The combination of a blunt, bent splitter and incredibly hard wood made it exhausting to chop the wood into sizes suitable for in the stove. One of the blinds was broken. We needed to have a lighter for the stove. The views were great. The location is secluded.
Sarah Pizzey
The view was the only redeeming feature of the house. For the price we paid, the place was filthy and in poor condition. Cobwebs, mould, broken flyscreens and a broken blind which meant you couldn’t open up the house to half the view anyway. The table was sticky and blinds were hanging off their rails.
Shirley Baker
A very pleasing repeat stay at Brindavan. Especially love the tranquil peacefulness, birdsong and privacy this property offers. The situation is unequalled, however general maintenance of the property urgently requires attention.
Adam Chapple

High on the Mountain with no neighbours and amazing views. Brindavan is the "perfect retreat" . We have already booked again for later in the year .
Sandra McGill
Perfect location for views, wildlife and peace. Home provided more than was required. Just ideal in every way.

4455 We phoned to make our booking and asked for somewhere with a great view. Brindavan was perfect! Views to the West from our bedroom balcony, and our East facing veranda looked over trees, mountains, hills and valleys. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen - everything clean and well maintained. We had dinner at Lyrics one night, enjoyed the walks, coffees and the short drive to Maidenwell for a swim. A relaxing and full weekend.
Patrick Ferron
Can't beat the views and the serenity!
Kim Reidy
Brindavan is a lovely cottage with amazing views. Spotlessly clean. It’s a great place to hunker down and watch the storms roll through and a short drive to the many wonderful trails on the mountain.
Susan Wrench
Had a great week in the Bunyas. Love the cooler summer temps.
Yvonne Rose
Loved our stay in the Bunyas -it was a great relaxing break.
Mary Harward
We enjoyed our time on the mountain. The walking was wonderful and the cool evenings let us enjoy the pleasure of a fire. The house was fine but it could do with a new mattress in the main room. Kind regards Mary Harward
Simon White
Great place fantastic views and interesting decor
John Pinder
Very nice, relaxing with great views
Stephen Nott
Brindavan cottage has got beautiful views but needs a new wood heater. It hardly burning and the place was cold. Needs new mattress as the bed was very uncomfortable. Also there’s not enough wine glasses and glasses.
Brian Sinclair
The best spot on the mountain - great views, full mobile reception, and no neighbours in sight. A nicely designed residence too. We definitely needed the fireplace at night, the cold weekend we were there in July, but the large windows allowed the sun to quickly reheat the house in the morning.
Jenny N
We enjoyed the views, wallabies and birdlife. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Dave Leinster
Rundown and poorly maintained. Fireplace door doesn't shut properly which is a major safety issue. Kitchen utensils the usual mashup of blunt knives and ugly plates. Beds are cheap and uncomfortable. Hideous interior design. BYO everything.
Deborah Chaffey
Very private and relaxing. Exceptional views could not be any better. shame how the property is being allowed to run down but would stay there again.
Steven Dorman
We have stayed at the Bunya's a few times and visit regularly for day trips. It is always a relaxing and enjoyable place to visit. Very sad to see it so dry this time around - looking forward to when the rain brings new life back into the place.
Will Smith
Very nice and tidy. Great view. tahnks for a great break.
Jan Marais
Lovely home perched right on the top of the mountain. We have a great time. Would love to be up there during a storm ! We will be back.
Alison
Great place to visit. Let down badly by accommodation. House had dangerous power points, rusty chairs, hole in ceiling, driveway in very poor condition. Whole house needs lots of work. Very disappointing- especially for the price we paid.
Brad Edwards
We stayed over the weekend of July, 19th to the 21st and we have already planned our return trip. The house was AMAZING and had everything we needed. The staff were so helpful and welcoming, we cannot wait to bring our family back here. 100% satisfied customers :)

We had a fantastic time at Brindavan only the time was too short we will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. The views were amazing!

Always happy to go to this lovely property. The only thing I could recommend is to clean the spiderwebs from the back of the blind in one of the lounge windows (the one facing the road that doesn't open)

Beautiful cottage, only feedback would be to suggest a AWD or 4 WD for the driveway as there was a little section that would be difficult for a small car. I have a 4WD so it was fine. Otherwise beautiful location, lovely stay thankyou.

Excellent service from the accommodation staff, absolutely no complaints. The house was difficult to access, as the driveway was more suitable to a four wheel drive. Reversing for a considerable distance before being able to turn, was quite hairy and not for the faint hearted. The house itself, though well equipped, was found to have minor defects that spoiled the overall presentation. The condition of the smaller patio settings was bordering on dangerous as they were seriously corroded. The Queen bed was saggy and behind the bedhead there was thick dust. The presence of bed mites or something similar left a lasting impression. The kitchen had a rodent in residence that transited from behind the refrigerator and the cupboards under the sink. The sky light trunking in the bathroom is falling apart. These are our observations among a number of others, which give the impression of minimal maintenance. In no way does our stay in Brindavan alter our determination to book another house for next Christmas, as soon as we have the necessary funds. Perhaps, if we had been a loved up young couple just wishing to be alone together, we might have written a much more glowing review. However, if that had been the case the owner would be none the wiser.

The barbecue was dirty when we arrived so we chose not to use it. Power switch at kitchen bench is cracked and needs replaced. Very beautiful house. Will visit again.

great views, comfortable house. Could do with a better mattress in the main bedroom.

Lovely house and location. Needs an internal repaint to get rid of the 80’s look. As mentioned at your reception, the tap ware is ancient, not water efficient and a bit difficult to use. An upgrade of all fittings and a new modern toilet would probably cut water usage in half.
