About this property

- Bowen House is looking amazing! The house can be heated & cooled by 2 reverse cycle air conditioners (1 in living room upstairs and 1 in master bedroom downstairs) for all year round comfort
- Privacy on a secluded 1 acre of land tucked away amongst the rainforest
- Home is magnificent with extensive use of glass, timber and quality fittings and furnishings
- Large games room with pool table, bar and fridge as well as 2 x fridges, 2 x microwaves, 2 x dishwashers (one on each level)
- Undercover BBQ area. Treat yourself to a invigorating sauna
- Open north-east facing deck is high amongst the trees with extensive rainforest views
- 1 K & 2 Q (BYO Linen)
- Minimum Stays:
- 2 nights minimum
- 3 nights on Long Weekends from Friday- Monday
- 4 nights Easter and Christmas (no arrivals or departures Christmas day, Boxing day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday)
- 3 nights minimum during June/July School Holidays

We all enjoyed our stay, Bowen House was well equipped with plenty of room for us, the only downside is that it is such a shame that that such a beautiful house is being neglected maintenance wise, the owner should be really ashamed of themselves for letting it get in the condition it is in. (examples) sliding door requires fixing so it can be opened, rotting decking boards, paint peeling of ceilings. As I said it is a shame because it it is a beautiful house.

We loved our stay at the Bunya Mountains, having visited many times previously. We really liked Bowen House. The kitchen and bar is one of the best equipped we've stayed in. We were however quite disappointed that there is no recycling facilities for rubbish on the mountain, something really lacking in a national park where preserving the environment is such a priority.

This is about our 6 th time to the Bunyas, so we love the area, the walks, had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, and morning teas at Poppies, fantastic. Also the wildlife seems to have grown in population each time.

We have stayed at numerous houses over the past 25 or so years and truly loved Bowen House. The house offers everything you could possibly need plus more. The heaters and electric blankets were much appreciated. The sauna was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this house.

This was the second time a group of us stayed here (2 couples). It's hard to find anything that matches its facilities and ambiance. Love the warmth of the timber internally, the wood fire heater, the pool table, the sauna, and the space inside and surrounding the property! The visiting birdlife was amazing along with the wallabies (and Joey's too) as well as a friendly possum. Highly recommend a stay at Bowen House!

We have lost count of the number of times we have stayed at Bunya Mountains. We have stayed in many different houses over the years and we have loved them all. Bowen house was no exception, the lounge area with the fireplace and the downstairs pool table area were fantastic. We had the most beautiful and relaxing time. The staff at the Accommodation centre are always helpful and friendly, and the houses are very high quality and clean and well appointed. There are beautiful walks to go on, birds to feed and fires to relax in front of - always a great weekend away! We will be back soon for another perfect weekend

Hi First time wed been to the Bunya Mountains, loved it, very nice, and we will come again. Our only issue, is that our house had flees. Made our stay a little uncomfortable.
