Blue Wren has become OUR place to stay for our annual ladies trip. Each year we stay an extra night, so it must be good. Very well equipped with almost everything you could need. We love having a bathroom all to ourselves right beside our bedrooms. We get phone signal downstairs and internet upstairs. Limited, but enough.

Stayed at Blue Wren from 2nd May to 5th May 2025. Very neat, tidy and comfortable. We had 3 stay but is ideal for 3 adult couples, with 3 queen beds each with their own bathroom. Extra vehicles need to park on grass above water tank. Would recommend blue Wren.

We enjoyed staying in the house #3 Blue Wren. It was very comfortable and clean and had everything we required. Just a short stroll from The Bunyas restaurant gave us two nights of not preparing meals. We were looking forward to the telescope… however there were no instructions for use so we didn’t get to see the stars up close on the clear Saturday night.

We had a lovely stay, the house was in a great position and very well appointed with kitchen utensils and appliances. Loved the fire, spacious lounge/dining area, large bedrooms and comfortable beds with electric blankets and lounge suite. The couple in the downstairs bedroom found it extremely cold at night as there was no heating, whereas I was upstairs and was able to warm the room before bed with the air conditioner. Instructions for the telescope would’ve been great as none of us had used one before and we didn’t want to try to use it without guidance. If we’d stayed longer a washing machine would’ve been useful but for just the 4 days we didn’t miss it. It was a great place to stay and would have no hesitation in booking Blue Wren again. Bird life was awesome!

We had a lovely stay in this unit. Very comfortable for our group of three couples, as there are three queen bedrooms all with ensuites. The unit was very clean and well stocked. My only issue was that the unit requires some maintenance. The railings on the front porch steps are in urgent need of repair and are quite dangerous. Otherwise, only minor maintenance issues were noted. Overall it was a lovely stay. The booking process was extremely easy and the staff very friendly and informative. We would consider staying again in this unit.

Three couples stayed in the house for three nights. It was very comfortable with each couple having their own bathroom. There was plenty of fire wood and a good wood heater, which we enjoyed as it was wet and chilly. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and managed to get in two long walks and attended the Sunday markets and an excellent Anzac service. We are regular visitors and we will be back.

Perfect house for our ladies annual getaway to the Bunyas. In a great position, this lovely house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was absolutely ideal for us. The house was very well appointed and the electric blankets were a real bonus. Thoroughly recommend this house but only drawback for us was poor mobile/internet service but it was still possible to make a call from there so not a deal breaker.

Our weekend at the bunya mountains was perfect for my son's 13th birthday gift. The cabin was clean, neat and tidy. We stayed two nights and we loved having the upstairs and downstairs. My son loved having a bathroom all to himself as it was three bedroom, three bathroom. Definitely staying here again. Plus it's walking distance to the cafe and restaurant.

Had a really enjoyable time in the mountains. All days were exciting and a nice reflection of the natural wonders of the area. Except for a lack of warmth in the bottom bedroom and a lack of extra tidy-bags for the bin - and an unexpected guest - one bush rat in the laundry, at least it waited to the day we left.

This cottage suited 3 couples very well. The down-side of the downstairs bedroom was that there was no wardrobe to hang clothes. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the fireplace was excellent. We do suggest that the temperature of the hot water be turned down. It is dangerously hot!

This is a lovely property that is well-maintained and clean. We were very disappointed though that there was no mention of it being next to a building site with the builders arriving at 7am and leaving at 5pm. We came to the Bunyas for quiet but couldn't sit out on the deck and had nail-guns and a drop-saw going all day. There was no mention of this in the ad or discount offered. Once this has finished, we would happily go back.

We had a lovely 3 night stay. The Unit was very accommodating for 3 couples. It wasn't a hugh problem, but the only suggestion I would consider would be to have some form of heating in the lounge area, as downstairs was very chilly (even when we had the fire going) Upstairs was very cosy & if needed there were air conditioners available. I stayed in Blue Wren on the weekend with 3 friends. The 3 bedroom 3 bathroom was perfect for us. It was very roomy and the balcony was well used - the position in the complex was perfect. The outlook ensured that we really didn’t even know that anyone else was there - except our neighbours had small children and we heard their joyful laughter ! Everything was clean and the kitchen was well appointed - some ice cube trays would be a good addition . We certainly enjoyed the complementary wine - thank you . The fire also was great and even though the weather was quite mild we still lit it. The fire starter suggested that there could have been some smaller tinder for starting the fire as we only had huge logs. I personally found the mattress in the spa suite rather uncomfortable - it was quite hard . Lastly the telescope - what a fabulous idea - but sadly could not make use of it as we didn’t know how to use it - perhaps you could leave some instructions.

A truly beautiful destination,house was good clean and better stocked than described on the web site, we certainly did not to bring so much, a small negative the water pump was quite noisy from the downstairs bedroom a simple padded box I believe would overcome this issue aside from this would certainly recommend blue wren for a few days getaway with friends or family.

The cottage is a nice play to stay but mattresses are very hard and uncomfortable. My family who stayed in Rainbow Lorikeet felt the same about beds in their cottage. And bottom bedrooms do not get and of the heat from the fire...they are soooo cold! A heater would be good on the bottom bedrooms in both cottages.

Beautiful townhouse with a lovely outlook. Everything has been thought of by a very generous owner - how lovely to include wine and shampoo/conditioner plus handwash in all the bathrooms. Masses of birds and just all round peace. Will absolutely stay again (we loved having Rainbow Lorikeet next door which housed my parents). What a perfect arrangement.

Blue Wren is the perfect home away from home in the picturesque Bunya Mountains. Located just a short walk away for a coffee and Bunya nut scones or a glass of wine by the fire. They have literally thought of everything you could need for a peaceful escape into nature. Surrounded by the tranquility of the Bush, wallabies and the abundance of wildlife, I’d recommend staying at Blue Wren to anyone.

Excellent property with everything you need. Only recommendation I would make is a clear lit sign on the start of the driveway and sign to the front door for those arriving after dark, we found it difficult to find.

My girlfriends and I had a fabulous time at the Bunya Mts. The accommodation was very well equip and very clean. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy all that there was to offer. Loved the coffee shop and restaurant - great food and very friendly people. And of course Allan and his Clydesdales. We'll be back :)
