My,wife and I stayed at Birdsong 24-27 June and found the house very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Excellent position, good views, we had a very good stay. Please can you ask the owners to consider upgrading the entrance driveway, we had difficulty driving into the property as the driveway is very badly eroded. Otherwise, excellent place, highly recommended.

Four of us shared Birdsong evening 9th July 21 to morning 13th July 21. This house is ideally suited to four guests. The furnishings and and rooms were just right. One could not ask for more in the way of comfort, kitchen and appliances and utensils. The library was uptodate and extensive with reference material on anything from Bird watching, climbing, environment to history and the arts. Closely situated to many walks and local amenities shop and pub. It was cold at this time of year and the heating facilities and fire place made it cosy. I can recommend Birdsong quite highly. Will come back at a warmer time of year when the days are longer too. We all enjoyed the stay in the gated community. lots of birds and wallabies. The history of Bunya Mountains is very interesting too.

Enjoyed the verandah with the assorted parrots and always wallabies in the background on the green rolling hills. 10 minute walk to the shop, tavern & Poppy’s on the hill. We’ll be back to Birdsong in the near future.

This is an amazing place to stay. Really well set up with all you need. Lots of amazing walks to do and plenty of wildlife to be seen right from your balcony. My only gripe, and it isn't with the accommodation, is that Bunya Mountains do not have recycling, seems crazy in a national park. They do have a rubbish collection so why not recycling, if you only provide rubbish everyone's recycling goes in the rubbish as well.

Birdsong is an absolutely fantastic place to stay! It has all the amenities and more. Everything is provided to ensure you have a wonderful time; all the small touches are there, lovely products for the bathroom too. Plenty of kitchen provisions including complimentary tea and coffee (and a teapot!!). It also has extras like spices, salt, pepper, cookbooks, so much! There are games, puzzles and a wide range of dvd's. You can stay in and enjoy the warmth of the fire or head off on a bushwalk. Will definitely be coming back to Birdsong.

Birdsong was a fabulous house to stay in for our group (2 couples). It was very spacious. We were able to cook meals easily with the well equipped kitchen. The house was spotlessly clean and warm, with the help of the wood fire and the a/c unit. It’s position on the estate was perfect for getting lots of warming sunshine. King parrots, lorikeets, crimson rosellas, blue wrens and crows were constant visitors. We would love to go back! The ladies at the accommodation centre were pleasant and helpful, both on the phone and in person.

This was our first visit staying in accommodation at the Bunya Mountains and we were very happy with our choice to stay at 'Birdsong'. It is a lovely house that is very well equipped and with beautiful views when sitting out on the deck. The girls loved feeding the crimson rosella's from their hands and the visits from the king parrots and cockatoos. You wont be disappointed with your decision to stay at 'Birdsong'.

Beautiful home, very cosy. Highly recommend. The “Birdsong” theme was shown in the home decor which was lovely. Loved the fireplace and electric blankets as we had a couple of cool nights in September. The deck (with BBQ) was a great spot to have breakfast and watch the birds. The very friendly King Parrots even came to join us. Did some great hikes within walking distance of the house. All linen and towels were supplied. We really enjoyed our two nights at Birdsong and wished we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I have been holidaying at the Bunya Mountains Title Estate for many years. This is the first time that we have stayed in the Rainforest Estate. Our choice was Birdsong. What a beautiful home. Clean, fresh, comfortable and modern. Everything provided. We both loved Birdsong and will definitely be back. However, unrelated to Birdsong, we were very shocked to see the so called, "Wild dogs," freely roaming around. There were two on our previous visit, now there are four. Also, the disappearance of the many wallabies. This visit, we saw only four. Those dogs need to be removed!

We enjoyed our Bunya Mtns city break. Birdsong is well positioned to be private and to enjoy the outdoors sitting on the deck, with a spacious layout. We enjoyed a bush walk, a meal at the tavern, the monthly markets and a walk through the neighboring estate to plan for a winter escape. The bird life and wallabies grazing was a highlight. The home has everything needed to self cater.

Property was great and beautiful. The inside of the house was well worth as a private residence as well as a holiday residence for a family. We were fully surprised with everything that was provided for us. Having the birds come onto the verandah and eating the food put out for it was amazing. The cockatoos (9 separate ones) were beautiful and some were well behaved. The two parrots were gorgeous too. Each morning the wallabies (about 25 of them) sat outside the house and it was such a welcome for each day. Our only regret was to see two dingoes each day outside the house and it was unfortunate to see one killed wallaby on the grounds of the opposite house. The walk we took from Westcott to Cherry Plain was great. Only drawback was the big trunks that lay across the track. We could see that there were other trunks that were sawn off an pushed aside to make the walking trail a good attraction. The cafe on the street was great as they took into account all the allergies that our son had and served great food and drink.

Wonderful holiday in THE most beautiful little house. I have stayed in many houses at the Bunyas over several years, but Birdsong is my favourite. Lovely homely touches and such a feeling of serenity. Thank you for the experience.

Really enjoyed our two nights in Birdsong at The Bunya Mountains. Very impressed with the remarkable cleanliness, ample facilities and quality furnishings of the premises. We wanted for nothing except perhaps some board games. But no matter, we took our own Scrabble. Our booking and couple of queries were handled efficiently, promptly and very professionally. Incidentally we preferred to call our cottage “Big Pink” in memory of where Bob Dylan and The Band made some of their early music together.

Birdsong is a fabulous house and ideal for two couples (or one couple if you want a bit more room). The accommodation is situated perfectly with a lovely deck that is bathed in sunlight for pretty much all the day. Wallabies and bird life surround you. This was our second stay I; 5is house. Birdsong is very well appointed and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it. We and another couple had a three night stay and could easily have stayed a couple more nights.

an absolutely brilliant 3 day break in the Bunya mountains..... The Birdsong house was perfect in every way. from the moment we checked in with the wonderful staff in the booking office on the 9th June until we checked out on the 12th June we had a great 3 days.. We had a couple of meals at Poppys cafe and the food was very good, unfortunately the restaurant and bar area were closed at night and we could not try out their hospitality..... We will most certainly be returning in the future when everything is back to normal,,,,,

Had a great couple of days at the Bunyas. The accommodation was great - everything was exceptionally clean, and really well laid out. While it had only one en-suite, the second bathroom was recessed so it was quite private for the second couple staying. We appreciated the additional extras that made it feel like a home. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Bunya Mountains. Birdsong was the perfect size for us & would be great if two couples wanted to stay away together as you would each have a bathroom. Birdsong lived up to its name with many birds coming to visit us on the veranda each day (Rosellas, King Parrots, Cockatoos, Currawongs), there was a bird theme through the whole house with lots of homely touches. The room included lots of extras such as backpacks for hiking, an esky, books, puzzles, linen, frisbees etc. Would definitely recommend Birdsong and hope to stay there again in the next couple of years.

We loved our two night stay 9th & 10th January 2019. We were blown away by the quality furnishings, the amount of crockery & cooking equipment and the diverse range of books& magazines. We’d forgotten to bring a backpack for the bush walks & there was even a couple of those to choose from! Watching the wildlife from the lounge room while browsing magazines was heaven! Thank you for a wonderful stay. The only negative was that there were some stains on the mattress protector. Maybe just need to be bleached.

My husband and I enjoyed out stay in Birdsong from the first moment we opened the front door! It is a beautifully-appointed small house with all the comforts of home, plus a peaceful outlook filled with local birdlife and wallabies. Birdsong and the Bunya Mountains are the ideal place for that special escape that soothes your soul, just when you need it. It was our first visit and we really thought we had found a little piece of paradise. Can't wait to return.
