Lovely place to stay ...the only comment I would make is that the remote controls all needed new batteries and it would have been nice to have some hand soap (in these Covid times )
Margaret Castles
Wonderful relaxing place to holiday, beautiful accommodation with everything that you need provided.

We always love our weekends away, this is about our 10th time staying in the beautiful accommodation available. This, however, is probably our most disappointing of the accommodation places we have stayed in. The home itself was quite dirty when we arrived, the BBQ had obviously not been cleaned and needed cleaning before use. There was no appropriate cleaning equipment available to clean the BBQ. The oven in the stove was not working and there was advice to use the convection (microwave) oven, however, the convection oven was dirty to the point of being unusable. The down stairs bathroom is dirty with mould and needs a good clean. The kitchen is a range of mismatched crockery and glasses, it was impossible to find matching dinnerware and much of the glassware on the open shelves needed washing before we could use them. The downstairs bed was beautifully comfortable, however the upstairs bedroom (QS) was terrible and we had to use the smaller downstairs room. All of this aside we did enjoy our time out there, with a lovely breakfast at Poppies Cafe. The person at checkout that I spoke to was very apologetic about the state of the home and I thank them for their understanding of the issue. We will very happily return to these beautiful homes and the wonderful Bunyas.

Really enjoyed our time. Beautiful environment, loved the birds, wallabies, etc. Good food facilities. Wonderful walks and views with many trails to choose from. Our accommodation was excellent, set in the bush, very private and quiet. Loved the wood fire in the lower lounge (wood provided) and BBQ out on the deck.

A wonderful place to stay! The Accommodation Booking Centre made the whole process of booking and checking in easy, the house was beautifully located and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we had a lovely relaxing time on the mountain.

4030 Loved Bunya Mountains, the birds the trees, the wallabies, the butterflies and Bidwillia House.

The Bunya Mountains is such a beautiful place. The house itself was in a lovely quiet location, we had trouble finding it at first and I honestly found that having to pay extra for linen and then decide if we wanted to make the beds up our-self or have someone do it but had to pay more for this quite off putting, then to only receive the wrong size line and only one pillowcase a little disappointing. The home was spacious. We decided not to do any laundry (that was under the house) due to 3 large huntsman waiting for us.

Lovely stay.

Beautiful area, great walks, something for everyone. Could be better sign posting to our house.

Unfortunately on our arrival the house was very hard to find. The signs are very small. The road to the house was terrible, extremely hard to navigate. The house was fine. We didn’t expect ALL the wood to be left out in the rain. We bought the firelighters and kindling, but with wet wood there was really no fire, and it was extremely cold. We ended up having to buy wood! And more kindling. Dry wood was suppose to be supplied. When we tried the tv we couldn’t get anything and the DVD player was not being cooperative either. We were very disappointed with these inconveniences.

A beautiful view from the deck and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The fireplace kept us nice and warm, as did the electric blankets.

The house was lovely - a very quirky design but functional. Loved the property. Wished we had longer to enjoy it!

Lovely house is a very quiet area. You don’t see other houses from here. A little bit away from the walking trails. Was raining so appreciated the board games. Kitchen was well equipped.
Tori Bacon
Bidwilli was such a beautiful home to stay in! My partner and I loved how secluded it was - outside every window, we saw nothing but nature! We loved having breakfast out on the deck, and watching the birds in the bird-bath below. We will definitely be visiting again!
Paul Champ
It was a relaxing time in the wilderness. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing.

Beautiful property tucked away in the mountains. For a small footprint there was ample space for 6 people

The bunya mountains is beautiful at the end of May. Cold but not too cold. Beautiful walk with the birds. The accommodation was as listed with comfortable beds in secluded location however fireplace needs replacing. The chimney and fireplace were rusted out and smoke filled the house, even though the fire had coals. The staff at the office were amazing though and supplied us with portable heaters. I wouldn’t recommend saying in winter unless fireplace is replaced.

What a peaceful and delightful house. Heaps of wildlife around, comfy beds, great deck, fab woodstove, love the split level. Poppies cafe was really yummy plus had the best chips we have had in a long time!!
Zoe leonard
Beautiful location. Property has the base to be great however needs a little be of love, maintenance and a thorough clean. Comfortable bed, toasty fire and well equipped kitchen

The house itself was lovely, perfect for families. Private and new fireplace. Will definitely return.

UNSAFE, UNTIDY and DATED. First impressions meant we started off on the wrong foot. Greeted by Sue who accused us of not paying. Due to their arcadic system this error occurred, in fact we had paid, and there were no apologies for her passive aggressive tone. The accomodation was not clean, had dated furnishings, mouldly linen, and the property maintenance had been let go. Microwave and fridge dirty, a single bin liner, used kitchen sponge, mouldy dish brush, and used food remnants from past guests. All the crockery looked like it was from the OP Shop! MOST CONCERNING was the mould in the upstairs bedroom which carried to the bedroom beneath. This lead us all after a three day stay, to become ill with sniffle, sore throat, itchy eyes, respiratory, and achy hips. SMOKE ALARMS are faulty. Going off in the early morning, and then NOT going off when the gas heater smoked out. Both the microwave, stove and gas heater do not have easy to use task cards. Instructions for the accomodation mentioned to bring fire wood and kindle, which was in the end not required. Also mention of an air conditioner, which we could not locate.
Meredith Johnston
Lovely house amongst the trees. Private and peaceful. Limited television channels and patchy phone and wifi but we knew that and actually loved being able to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.
Warren Somerfield
The house was great , good location and private. The beds were comfortable and wood pellet fireplace was awsome. Overall the house was nice and private and comfortable.
Nicholle Hile
We had a lovely, relaxing weekend at Bidwilli. The house was charming and full of character, and we loved being tucked away in the bush. We particularly liked that there was a gate at the top of the stairs, as we had a new walker with us, and we made very good use of the pellet heater.
Greg Merry
Wonderful relaxing stay for our 49th Wedding Anniversary. Have recommended to our friends .
Suzie Trickett
Loved our 1st time stay in the Bunya Mountains. Enjoyed the walks we did and the abundant bird life.
trevor smith
Overall the house was the perfect retreat, quiet, secluded and a great outlook. The locals (feathered kind) were very friendly. And the bed was very comfortable. The only downsides were that the house needs a bit of cleaning to get rid of the mould, the toilet seat needs fixing in place, and the towel rail came off the wall because it is missing a couple of grub screws. One other issue was that we were lucky to have taken our Subaru Outback as our other car would have been scraping bottom on the track in. Otherwise it was a relaxing 3 nights.
Bob Sande
A perfect getaway in a magic location for a couple, although there are two other bedrooms upstairs if you must bring the rest of the family. Well appointed and we hope to return again. Bring lots of bird seed.
Caitlin Fleck
During our stay the water stopped working as well as several power outlets. It stopped working during one of our showers. We spoke to those at the office about it and it appeared to be something they did not even care about. It made our last day uncomfortable and difficult. I'm disappointed in the service response more than the power/water situation. The Bunya mountains as a whole was absolutely amazing. The accommodation was cute.
Philip Muller
This was our fifth time to Bunya Mountains and again it was great. The cold weather is perfect for the log fire, with ample wood available. Great secluded location.
John Garrett
Great spot. Great place to stay. Very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay.
