The four of us really enjoyed our two nights at "Sky". It was great to have two equal bedrooms with ensuites (architects THINK about who will be visiting!). Everything we needed was there including fabulous dvd's. The ability to open the house up and get cross ventilation was appreciated as was the drive through carport. Key collection and drop off was easy and all the instructions we needed were given to us.

We have always enjoyed staying at the Sky property. The main attraction is the separate sleeping / en suites where two couples can share the main living areas, but have some private time in their own space. We also love the huge glass doors overlooking the patio.

I love staying at the Bunyas. The accommodation center is great, fantastic service and enables contactless check in and key drop off. Sky is lovely accommodation, with cute little gifts for guests, coffee, lemon butter and jam - all local to the Bunyas. The Bunyas is my go to place for rest and renewal and the accommodation center certainly assist in a restful and relaxing experience.

Sky is in a great position, very quiet and surprisingly private given the amount of glass. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well equipped and the water pressure was fantastic. Everything was clean and tidy. We would have liked the windows to have insect screens so we could leave windows open after dusk and not be bothered by bugs, but it's the only thing I would change. We had birds feeding on the front deck and wallabies eating grass round the back. Clydesdales across the road. We loved all the animals. A gift of local ground coffee beans and cumquat butter was left for us in the fridge, such a lovely gesture and the cumquat butter was to die for!

Sky is a stunning home, in a beautiful location. The outside deck is ideal for a BBQ, would suggest the hedge be trimmed so more of the views can be seen. It is an ideal location for couples with 2 separate ensuite wings and the pavilion style kitchen living area allows the cool summer breezes to pass through. Sky is in an ideal location, off the main road but close enough that is was only a short walk or drive to the Bunya Tavern and Poppies Cafe. The home is tasteful, and very well equipped for both long and short stays. Thank you also for the delicious homemade jam and coffee. We loved our stay at Sky and definitely would love to return for a longer visit.

We loved our stay at this property. This property was very spacious for three of us. It was bigger than what we had expected. Both the rooms were On suites. The kitchen is fully functional, and everything is of good quality. Fireplace inside the house is beautiful. A huge selection of movies so you are never bored. For us, the best part was Patio and the front yard. You wake up to these huse Bunya trees at the forefront of the rainforest. If you have a drone, it is a must to take. Our little one loved every minute up there. The house has everything you can think of and it's great. It's a bargain for that price.

What a lovely property. The main living area was spacious and stylish - loved the large sliding doors opening up the whole space and the lovely private deck. Lots of nice quality inclusions were appreciated - good coffee and tea and the little home made apple jelly was beautiful on our Hot Cross Buns. Thanks for a lovely stay. This home, with the view, warm fire, and peacefulness, was perfect for two couples. We each had one end of the house with our own bathroom/toilet. Showers were great. Kitchen had a few staples and was clean and uncluttered. Bird life abundant! Hope to be back - maybe summer to expereince the full through breeze that the house can offer!

The first time we stayed at Sky and we were pleasantly impressed by the provisions available in the chalet. From the rainforest walks, the wildlife, the alpine village feel you instantly relax as soon as you arrive. A wonderful experience in a really well designed holiday home. Walk down to Cafe and bar was around 10-15min. About 20min back (uphill😁)

We have just had a great weekend with friends, staying at 'Sky'. The property was very clean and beautifully presented. The layout of the home was perfect for two couples to socialise and share the living space, while providing privacy for use of separate bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the comfortable beds offered a peaceful rest. This was our fifth visit to the area, and our first stay in 'Sky', but definitely not our last - 'Sky' is now our fav choice in the beautiful Bunya Mountains.

This is the second time we have stayed at Sky - the first time being 7 years ago - and we absolutely loved it again. The property is very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. I was especially impressed with the choice of supplies provided and the extra touches to welcome us. The property is in walking distance (approx 10 mins) to the cafe and tavern and is in a lovely peaceful spot. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the birds and watching the wallabies. I can highly recommend Sky and we will definitely be back again :-)

Sky was just perfect. I’m usually the person that finds the tiny faults in places we stay. Absolutely nothing to find fault in Sky. The owners have furnished it beautifully. So clean. So tidy. A cosy Scandinavian feel to the home. All the nice little touches in place. Toasty log fire. Fire all set up. Just had to light a match. Plenty of logs and kindling provided. Loved it. Would definitely book Sky again. Thank you.

It was a lovely place with a fantastic view, especially night sky and morning sunshine. Very well equipped in the kitchen. Heart warming welcome gift such as lemon butter and lemons with a handwritten note on it are nice touch. Very spacious living room and bathroom. The downsides of the accommodation are no fly screens and wifi. It was hot but we couldn't keep the sliding doors open because the mosquitoes. There is only one aircon in one of the bedrooms. The phone signal was too weak to do anything but making phone calls. If there is wifi in the house, it would be a perfect holiday.

We had a lovely to nights just wish it was longer..... the facilities were great. Only one comment we did not know what to do with the keys when we left - so we left them inside the locked home. Hope that was ok. The bed was fantastic and comfortable.

The house has great layout however how can you not have screens on Windows. Could not sleep with Windows open as I have allergy to bites and end up in hospital if bitten. No air con in lounge which is silky even ceiling fans throughout would help. Ended up l picked in bedroom with air con on Sunday afternoon. Left 3 days early as could not bear lack of air at night time which is when the house would cool down as it gets hit by afternoon sun in lounge room with the doors left open. It took 2 cans of fly spray in 4 days to kill the bugs and had to use repellant every day. Maybe in winter it would be better but I would not return again to this house.

Sky is a quaint little place that is perfect for a couples getaway. 2mins away from Dandabah where the cafe, tavern and store are which makes this property nice and quiet from a traffic perspective. Opening this house right up in the height of summer would be lovely. BBQ is tiny but this is only a house for couples or a small family so it does the trick, however the fully appointed kitchen more than compensates. The stainless steel shower pans give an uneasy feel of a kill floor in a slaughterhouse.....but maybe we've just read too many gritty crime novels! The huge living space is kept warm by a wood heater and is great to lounge around in on colder days. Sunsets from this house are magnificent. Will be coming back to the Bunya Mountains but will likely stay elsewhere only because we'll bring more people with us!

Had a great stay at Skype. The house had everything we needed for a three night stay. A lovely outlook to the south west and those huge bifold doors allowed us to capture the breezes. We love cooking and found the kitchen to have everything we needed, including a big cast iron pot for our casseroles. Was just perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sky. We stayed in 2017 and again this June. The fireplace makes everything lovely and warm on a cold winters night. Also comfortable lounge,tv and great kitchen. We slept like logs after great walks. We would love to come again.

This was our second holiday in Sky. Absolutely fabulous. This simple but stylish house kept us comfortable and warm during the extreme windy conditions this past weekend. Family joined us on several of the walks then my husbands birthday lunch at Lyric cafe and finished with a whiskey tasting. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. We love the Bunya mountain and are planning our next holiday in this beautiful part of Queensland.

Fabulous stay. Had good weather experiences from misty mountain mornings to clear starry skies at night. This particular accommodation allows for the outdoors to come indoors ...so it is a great setting to enjoy any weather experience. It is ideal for 2 couples as each can have privacy. Walking tracks are close and so is the Dandabah should you need some extra items or a great coffee.

We actually booked this house for my mother-in-law and her sister. The house was great! Just a couple of suggestions. The handle on the fireplace has some very sharp metal jutting out - my husband sliced his finger when he was lighting the fire for them. Nothing too bad thankfully but it could have been. We covered the metal with a couple of bandaids so the ladies wouldn't hurt themselves. Also, the deck is wonderful however the lack of railings was a surprise and we were genuinely concerned my mother-in-law (85 years old) might miss her footing and fall. I do think this should be rectified as it is a risk for the owner with an accident waiting to happen. It took us a while to work out the visitor storage shed had a padlock down at the bottom of the door...this could be clearer in the information book, unless of course we missed it :-) As I said though the house itself was great and they both really enjoyed their stay. They will be raving about it to their friends and the rest of the family for sure. Thank you.

Absolutely loved this place, from the furnishings and the space to the outside neighbour birds and animals plus view, although potentially the lillipillies need a bit of a trim to make the most of it.
