Our second stay at Rainbow Lorikeet was again very enjoyable with perfect winter weather and plenty of interesting bush walks throughout the Bunya Mountains. However property is starting to show its age and a little maintenance or refresh would be beneficial.

Great relaxing 3 bedroom/3 bathroom unit with fully equipped kitchen, a big living room with a fireplace plus telescope. Very limited internet, however plenty of bush walks and lots of wallabies and native birds. A beautiful getaway.

A very well stocked accommodation with plenty of space for 3 couples who spent 3 nights here. We all really enjoyed the log fire, relaxing on the patio watching the wild life and the local bush walks. We enjoyed the 10k Barkers Circuit and the 6K from Burton’s Well. Great location, great place, would recommend.

The walks are terrific for almost anyone. Our accommodation was excellent, although we couldn't figure out how to use the telescope. We loved the ambience and how close to nature we were.

A great unit for up to 6 people. The bonus was being able to feed the birds on the patio every morning. Make sure you have enough bird seed! Unfortunately nobody could get the telescope to work, but that was the only downside. Great fireplace.

We had a great stay and were very comfortable and cosy in the property. I was worried about being cold however found it was well equipped. We were however, looking forward to using the telescope as advertised, but without lack of trying it didn’t seem to be working properly. The apartment was good value for money and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again

Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing and the accommodation suited our family's needs perfectly as we had three different generations of our family staying over and having the three bathrooms was fantastic. I would highly recommend Rainbow Lorikeet for a family as the main bedroom was downstairs as well as another queen sized suite and two single beds upstairs.

We loved the house and it was a great position and will definitely stay there again. The Shower Head in the Single Beds Room upstairs is leaking and spurting water all up the walls , needs urgent attention. Secondly the house was not clean when we arrived, the floors had to be swept, there is thick dust under the lounge seats and the patio table was disgusting it was covered in spilt coffee and crumbs and ingrained dirt. But this is a cleaning issue and not a reflection on the owners. Someone needs to follow up and supervise cleaning.

The unit was clean if a little snug, with a nice verandah. Beds were ok but kitchen fit out needs attention. Bunya’s are always a great place for walks and the birds.

A lovely unit that was clean and tidy. Had everything you needed in the kitchen. Great place for a family with small kids - we have a 6, 4 and 1 year old and it was perfect. It had a child gate to block off the stairs and a secure gate around the fireplace. Electric blanket and reverse cycle air-con was great in the bedrooms. Big deck would be good for summer. And the wallabies were right outside. Only downside is it's a bit to far to walk down to the bistro (which is awesome and has fabulous food!) for little ones without a pram.

Everything was great, except the cleanliness of utensils, cups, mugs and bed sheets and quilt was completely with hair and dirty foot marks in the bathroom on the first floor . This is what I mentioned during my checkout. I have few photos to share of those mess. This is the reason I had to check out early. I initially had booked it from 14th Friday June till the 16th Sunday June. But couldn't withstand these things and checked out early like day before on the Saturday, wasting one nights money. Thanks for everything.

The unit was just lovely and very well setup with everything that was required. I do wish I had remembered some bath mats as floors are cold in winter if course. Not sure if that's something you might consider including because it's not a common thought when packing linen. The only other thing would have been nice to have is maybe a patio heater as it was way too cold to sit out there and eat yet I would have liked to enjoy the view and sounds of nature. All of the eight ladies who stayed at Lorikeet, Blue Wren and Butterfly were very happy with everything about each of these lovely places. We relaxed and enjoyed seeing each other after many years. We went on a walk, drank coffee at Poppies, and sat in comfort with the animals outside our units. We are all keen to come again when we can.
