Thank you. We had a great time (again!) at the Bunyas. There were a couple of minor repairs needed at the house. eg large holes in dining area curtains, broken latch on loft window, broken handle on broom. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay although the driveway was a bit tricky for turning motorbikes around! When we come again we will be sure to select a house with a flat, preferable concrete driveway, and 2 bathrooms.

Good holiday house. The only issue was a difficult driveway (for motorcycles at least). Only one gate key was a minor issue when people wanted to leave and return at different times. A code lock on the gate would eliminate this. The views were excellent and all the usual Bunya mountains attractions were enjoyed. Its a pity the museum was not open. Meals at the tavern were excellent.

Whilst the surrounds were beautiful, the accommodation was less than welcoming. The initial impression is that us staying there is more of an inconvenience to the owners than actually appreciating the custom. With many signs telling us what we can and can't do there was no sense of welcome or 'warmth' on arrival. This is especially disappointing when there are expectations of us like having to bring our own linen. We were told to bring sheets, towels and pillow cases, however there were no bath mats, hand towels or face cloths supplied. It would have been helpful if this was made clearer. Overall, it seemed like the owners are only willing to provide the basics in terms of accommodation, there was minimal furniture upstairs and the whole home seems very run down. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

The house is old and uncared for, the furniture and curtains smell, there's mould on the floor and the walls and the beds are extremely uncomfortable. The fridge stank of old seafood and had not been cleaned, we purchased cleaning products from the local general store to clean it as it was unbearable and made all of our food smell. The BBQ had what appeared to be years worth of grease coating the grill and hot plates and there were cobwebs in the shower and the upstairs bedroom.

We love the Bunyas but this time we did not really enjoy our accommodation. Probably the worst sleep we have ever had - the beds were really uncomfortable, the stove was a challenge to use (all the indicators to let you know which knob correlates to which part of the stove has worn off), bare basics in the kitchen, tiny fridge. The place needed a thorough clean (cobwebs, curtains etc - things that take more time than just the basics). The wood fire only just warmed up the place in the evening, the furniture (lounge suite) was not altogether comfortable. The outdoor furniture needs an update. All in all, a very tired cabin in dire need of TLC. Possum Lodge is not a cabin I would recommend unfortunately. However, Bunya staff were awesome and the Bunyas were wonderful as always. We'll be back, elsewhere.

Relaxing stay. Very helpful staff at accommodation.

This property was rather disappointing. It is bare and barren and in need of repair. Problems have been 'glossed over'. One example is the badly torn dining chair seat covers just have additional cushions put on top! The cost does not reflect the quality, or lack of it, we won't be going back to this property again!

Great for couples or family with teens. Full kitchen and two verandahs withwarm sunshine. Basic house to sleep and a eat after a dats of walking. Only one small bathroom, with shower and basin.

Although the Bunyas were wonderful, the accommodation was pretty shabby. I would expect much more for the price.

Terrific getaway for a weekend, plenty to do and also time to relax in front of log fire. Very quiet.

We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our time in Bunya. We knew that the accommodation was for sale but did find that maintenance on the property had not been let go somewhat.

We are regular visitors to Bunya Mountains and we have stayed at some beautiful cosy properties. Unfortunately Possum Lodge was a huge disappointment. The location was lovely, perfect for our children to run around safely, however this was the only good things about this poor little cottage. The owners have catastrophically let the cottage (externally and internally) run itself into the ground. It is dated, musty and old. The furniture is a bunch of mismatched op-shop quality items. Old, uncomfortable, mouldy and smelly ( the sofa and beds)! The kitchen is reminiscent of my great grandmothers pre-war kitchen, dated, old and mouldy! The kitchen utensils etc were also mismatched, stained and terrible quality (the kitchen knives were falling apart). Most importantly it advertises the upstairs as a children retreat, however there are no catches/ locks on the windows as they had broken off. This means the windows didn’t close, and with no security, out 3 or 5 year old could have fallen out 20 feet down to the concrete below. We did call the office but they couldn’t do anything to help, so we had to block off the upstairs bedrooms completely and squash in to the two downstairs rooms instead! It’s a shame that the owners have let this cottage down - it just needs some money spending on it to make it lovely! I would avoid this cottage completely and look for another place instead.

Very clean tidy and comfortable accommodation. Met our needs perfectly. Only problem was that we noticed the fire extinguisher was way past its expiry/ inspection date in 1988

This was our 4 th visit to the Bunya’s we love our breaks there so relaxing. Firstly, I would like to thank the lovely staff at the accommodation agent, they were a welcoming start to our break. Possum lodge was a disappointment from the poor maintenance ie the rotting wood and mould on the veranda balustrade . The cleaning was sub par from cobwebs hanging from ceilings and under the bookshelf to the think dust and debris behind the fireplace also the outdoor furniture had a thick layer of dirt and mould on it which required cleaning to be useable. I realise the cleaning of dishes and appliances is up to the renter but the fry pan required a good 10 minutes cleaning to be useable. We had to use the fry pan after bringing steak and salad to make our food easy. Our intention was to use the bbq but oh it was terrible. Apart from being old and probably past it’s use by day it was covered in fat and mouse poo that had fur growing on it. We do not need “ all the mod cons” but good maintenance would help clients feel welcome and promote a re rental of this property.
