About this property

- Sunrises and a good vantage point to watch your children playing on the 11 hectare property
- Comfortable and well appointed, you can relax and recharge in the uplifting, calm energy of all who stay here
- Want more space? Book Tuggan-Tuggan to have the delight of the whole building or organise a group of up to 100 across all Bunya Mountains Chalets
- Plenty of outdoor activities – not only National Park walking tracks, but free use of the shared games room including pool table and table tennis (please book). Ceiling fans & electric blankets Q & D Beds only.
- Tank water in use at this property, the water is filtered.
- 1 Q, 2 D, 2 S & 7 S/Bunks (Linen provided 1 Q & 2 D only, need to make beds)
- Minimum Stays:
- 2 nights minimum
- 3 nights on Long Weekends from Friday- Monday
- 4 nights Easter and Christmas (no arrivals or departures Christmas day, Boxing day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday)
- 3 nights minimum during June/July School Holidays

The Bunyas are beautiful whatever the weather. On this recent visit we were blessed with perfect weather. It was a shame the tracks were closed for upgrading, but we have booked in for next year & looking forward to enjoying the upgrades.

Thanks for the opportunity to review Mai. It was a great stay and we enjoyed the place. Great location close to the cafe , walks and bird feeding. Note the upstairs bedrooms don’t have a full wall between them so privacy is to a minimum. This didn’t bother us but may others! So wonderful to just sit on the couches and watch all the wildlife.

My family and I stayed at Mai from Friday 20th January 2023 to Sunday 22nd January 2023. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous, it is so peaceful and quiet. We had other family stay in the house beside us and in total had 16 kids. There was plenty of room for them to run around outside and they did all day. Our concern was on the Saturday afternoon the kids were playing up and down the hill when we saw a black dog coming out of the trees at them. We yelled and ran towards it and it fled back in to the trees. We spotted the same dog later in the day trying to chase the Wallabies and it went across the road. The next morning we saw the black dog and a bigger brown dog heading along the road towards the camping area. When we arrived we went in to the office to check in and were not informed about these dogs that are apparently becoming less afraid of humans. There were no notices inside our accomodation or anything to say that these dogs were about the cabins. The house itself was very dirty and could do with a thorough clean, the bedding smelt of dust and wee and was visually dirty. The outside area near the BBQ smelt of old oil and there was bits of rubbish everywhere. It is a great place to visit and spend time with your friends and family but I would have liked it to be clean.

Beautiful place to stay, the fireplace was great. Very comfortable and weather was gorgeous. Plenty of places to explore. Had lots of laughs on the tennis court. Scones at the cafe were divine. Great few days there.

We loved our stay! We had 6 families spread across 3 cabins, and had the absolute best time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful grounds and National Park. The bird feeding was a hit. We love how close the cabins are to everything, and the ample sleeping space. Thank you!

I have used Mai several times over the years for family holidays and also for spiritual retreats. I always enjoy the early mornings the most, as mist settles and wallabys can be seen grazing on the hill directly out back of Mai. Secluded side of the house to practice Tai Chi and morning sun at the front tables for breakfast and workshops. Huge indoor space and crackling fire to enjoy in winter. A close walk to Poppys and the general store for refreshments and the walking tracks for some bathing in Mother Nature. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper like I am. The next door visitors at Tuggan Tuggan might be loud snorers. haha! I've encountered that a few times but other than that, I absolutely love the spaciousness and location of Mai. Incredible staff as always. Thanks team and thank you Bunya xo

We absolutely loved our time at the Bunyas. The accommodation was very neat and tidy, there was ample firewood and checkin/checkout and booking was very simple. Many thanks to Sue, Jen, Laura and Michelle for their contribution to a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend this site (and many others) however what sets this apart is that your 'backyard' does not have any accommodation or anything other than rolling hills and bushland in site.
