We love this house for our family get together. There is room for all of us, we can all sit down & share a meal together, all relax in the lounge room. Room for as all & not be on top of each other. We love the Bunya's, it's my happy place.

This was a great place to stay for a large group of people. Plenty of space for all. Excellent facilities in the kitchen with everything necessary there. Loved the wood fire which we took advantage of. On the negative side, there were a few light bulbs blown & the house needed a really good clean in places - I think we left the stove cleaner than how we found it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, especially with the foggy & rainy weather forcing us to stay cosy and warm indoors.

Great accommodation - five bedrooms, five bathrooms and spacious kitchen and living areas. The huge fridge was a bonus (the small bar fridge was iced up so we defrosted it for you!). Within walking distance of the cafes and BBQ area so no need to get in the car if you don't want to. Linen supplied but we had to make our own beds! We all thought this peculiar and a bit of a nuisance after we had travelled some distance and were tired (and full of food and wine) at bedtime. So please make up the beds; just a small thing and the only negative but everyone commented on it.

Great concept and our second visit. However many things unsatisfactory - oven not working properly, no instructions for the oven and dial settings have worn away, many of our pre prepared meals were not cooked properly. Lights in bathroom 2 not working, heater in downstairs bedroom not working. One of the bed sheets had a huge rip in it - half the sheet. Gas BBQ is old and dangerous with bad gas leaks - no improvement from the last time we were there 6 months ago. We enjoyed eacvh others company but an accumulation of many things reduced the enjoyment significantly.

We loved all being able to stay in the same place - the games room provided a perfect venue for us all to share time on a cold wet afternoon.

Excellent facilities including a large supply of chopped wood; the premises were clean and well equipped with ready access to the large range of walks available.

We stayed in this house from Sunday 1st August to Wednesday 4th August. The house is ideal for large groups and the fact that each bedroom has it's own bathroom, is an added bonus. The location is very peaceful and the grounds are lovely.

Beautiful house with loads of space for me and my sewing friends. With 5 bedrooms all with ensuites it is perfect for the 5 of us. This is probably why we have stayed here 3 times and plan to book again next year. It would be equally perfect for larger groups.

Amazing house with great amenities. Our second time in this house and our group of five friends are already planning to go back there next year. This house was so spacious and well equipped and is absolutely ideal for large family groups.
Carol Sclater
Great house for our group of long time friends. Particularly liked the kitchen and large dining area allowing us all (10) to prepare meals and sit and eat in comfort together. House is comfortable and well located for access to the walking tracks.
Stephen McReight
Great walks. Creation at it's best. Accomodation staff always friendly and most helpful.

We found the Bunya Mountains Lodge very comfortable. Well presented & very clean. Plenty of dishes etc. we did miss having champagne glasses though. Our group did ask me to say that we felt it was not really acceptable to not be able to stack the dishwasher & leave it on,on our departure, especially having to be out by 10Am. We had a rushed breakfast & then had to wash up. It’s a big wash up for 10 people. To have a sign that says we will be charged an extra $50 if the cleaner had to wait really does seem unreasonable. Never seen that in any other house. Apart from that though we had a good time.
Emily Connell
The house was lovely. We enjoyed our time at Bunya Mountains.
Barbara Moxham
The accomodation was excellent there were 7 of us and it was great having our own ensuites lots of room to lounge around the fire or play cards and it was great not having to bring anything with us except for food ets.

The Bunyas are a great place to visit and experience the rainforests and magnificent trees. The lack of good phone and internet service is a definite drawback when on site eg not being able to contact family while travelling to and from accommodation and facilities.

Hi The house we rented was neat and tidy but i think the beds need replacing. Old and uncomfortable. Annie Nov, 2021

The stay was good but the trip to get there was horrendous. We took the Jondaryan route hoping to save time as recommended in your website. Five out of six cars went to nowhere losing precious time on the way. Signate in the Jondaryan route was pretty bad. The other car also lost its way but fortunately the driver kept on contact with someone in Brisbane who had made previous trip to the destination. I left at 8 am from Brisbane and arrived at your office at 2 pm, a six-hour drive with only one stop for lunch. Mobile phones did not work well. In our confusion we could not communicate with one another as we wanted to. When we made the booking we were told that there was a possibility that we could make early check ins in both Bunya Mountain Lodge and Silver Firs. But when we called before we arrived we were told "we haven't got news from the cleaners". We simply dropped our plan to make early check in also because we could not arrive earlier. As soon as we got into the lodge we tried to open the windows in the four bedrooms upstairs but it would not open. The panel of the windows upstairs and downstairs were very dirty. We had to call the office and a maintenance staff came only to tell us that the bedrooms windows had been permanently locked. Our longing to let fresh air in was botched. Our friends who stayed at Silver were panicked because the water would not run and there was no power. Another call to the office and a maintenance staff came in. He switched two buttons and all came to life. Had we were told that we needed to turn on the switches we should have bothered you because we could have done that ourselves without having to panic in the first place. Panicking was the last thing we wanted after exhaustive driving.

Everything was pretty good, the tap water was a bit dirty. Not sure if there was a filter on the tanks, if so then it needs a clean.
Sandra Jones-Rider
Beautiful house and setting.

We were a group of 5 couples & we had a fabulous time. The kitchen was amazing with a huge fridge to accommodate all our food & drinks. Sheets & towels were very clean & lovely. And the place was very clean. The men enjoyed the billiard room but the table had a tear & a ding & cues are a bit old, with two of them missing tips. 5 Bedrooms with 5 bathrooms were great, we felt very spoilt. A towel rail in the bathrooms would have been convenient because there is nowhere to hang towels. Fire downstairs made for a very cozy house. Unfortunately the wood splitter was broken. The light globe over the stair well wasn't working but a request from the office had it replaced the same day. The stairs in this house are extremely steep, although it did not bother us too much. There is a bedroom & bathroom downstairs, if the stairs are a problem for anyone. Easy check in & check out. We will be back.

House was a great size for 3 families with teens. Very comfortable and included everything we needed. Only 10 minute walk to tavern and coffee shop, so not too far away. Apart from needing a good clean, house was otherwise very good.
Warren Sharpley
Bunya mountain lodge was a great choice for a group of friends to get together, the space allows for you to be together or take time out by yourself in the many spaces.
Sandy Mulcahy
A lovely spot, lovely large house suitable a large family/friends get together.

Great house and location. Terrific facilities for hosting a large group. Disappointing standard of cleanliness.

A great place to stay. Very comfortable.

Well presented, clean and tidy. Every thing you need to stay.

What a wonderful stay. We had 11 adults and the accommodation was perfect. Four bedrooms each with an ensuite and a fifth huge bedroom downstairs that catered for three adults and had their own bathroom too. Plus a huge living area with roaring fire and a fantastic country kitchen and dining area that had everything we needed. Enjoyed the beautiful birds that came to visit every morning in the "gutter" style feeder on the front verandah with rocking chairs to enjoy their vibrant colours. We drove down to the main part of the mountain and enjoyed the delights of Poppy's Cafe - fantastic coffee and very friendly service. Experienced the delights of the Mountain Markets on Sunday morning with everyone in our party buying something to take home. The walks are the best I've done with only 50 metres in one walk to the first cascading waterfall and watercourse. All the walks are very doable with the tracks being very friendly. Thanks so much for letting us stay in a beautiful part of the world - we will be back!

A generous sized home suitable for groups of friends or family. Large kitchen and dining areas. Cost with wood fire. Handy location to all walks. Great pool room.

Had a great time with family. Place was cosy and well equipped for our large group. Walking trails and lookout point were the main attractions. Kids loved feeding the birds.

This place is just amazing for a large family group. Loads of space in all bedrooms and main lounge area. Awesome wildlife in the yard for the kids. Will recommend staying here for anyone.
Brendan Black
The stay was nice, the house catered for the number of guests comfortably. Only down side was the house was very dirty, a lot of spider webs and windows/walls/bathrooms and kitchen need a good spring clean.
Trudie Lindsay
Absolutely loved our stay! Will definitely be re booking with Bunya Mountains Lodge
Margaret Butlert
Our large family group found the Lodge to be a wonderful place to stay at the Bunya Mountains. It was as advertised, very comfortable and the kitchen was completely equipped with everything that we needed. We all wished we had access to the internet. We were all prepared to use our own data but alas none of us had any service even though we had a mixture of telco providers.
John Filewood
The Bunya mountains Lodge is a fantastic property for 16 people. It has a very large lounge area with a great wood-burning heater and plenty of hard wood supplied. The house has 4 well set out bedrooms upstairs & dormitory style room downstairs. The kitchen is well appointed with a great glass fronted refrigerator. However, the dishwasher lacks efficiency when full.

Special 60th Birthday present for my wife including kids and grandkids from 27-30 June 2023. House was lovely thank you. Bathroom for each bedroom was a great asset (more to come on bathrooms later). The round lounge suite approach enabled family to converse easily. Cosy log fire. Owner needs to sharpen axe (block buster) as it was very difficult to chop wood. Extra dishwasher tablets would be good as one tablet per day for 16 people is not enough. Re accommodation centre: I called in the next day to advise that not all bathrooms had toilet paper. 3 rolls missing. The lady who served me rang the cleaner or whoever supplies the house with essentials and their reply was they put two rolls in each bathroom. I felt I was made out to be a liar. I stood there for 30 seconds and said again three rolls are missing. The accommodation centre lady reluctantly went out the back and got three more rolls. I felt very humiliated at this and advised I didn’t come all the way into the accommodation centre if I didn’t need to. I thought for the price per day I was paying in peak school holiday time getting some loo paper would have been a no brainer. Instead I felt humiliated and embarrassed that I should even have to ask twice. For goodness sake Public relations - where was that?? This showed total lack of empathy and makes me not want to come back another time. For the thousands of dollars I spent on accommodation, 3 rolls of toilet paper requiring a check with cleaner was pathetic. It would have been much better for the accommodation person to apologise for the oversight, get up, get the rolls and welcome my family in. This was a special 60th Birthday present for my wife including the family and I was appalled at this lack of empathy. House lovely. PR skills in accommodation centre - appalling.

Large house with many rooms. Great for a large family get together. Has very big kitchen with commercial glass door fridge, fire place, very big dining table to fit everyone around. BUT on a negative not. House had cobwebs, dust and mould. Dishwasher doesn’t work properly, you need to rise dishes prior to putting them in to get clean. Oven only works on grill element, not fan forced anymore. Heater in downstairs bathroom not working. Downstairs bedroom-All mattresses are sunken in the middle and uncomfortable, one of the bunk beds top bed has a broken slate that has been screwed together as a fix (dangerous). Dvd player in lounge room doesn’t work. Pool table is torn and damaged and only 1 full sized Que. Gardens around house (as in next to and under house) over grown and full of stinging nettle. We stayed here several years ago and since then it has gone down hill. It is a shame it has so much potential.

Our Book Club group of women have now stayed in Bunya Mts Lodge for 5 consecutive years, and we have just booked for next year. We hope our tradition can continue for as long as we remain a wonderful and exciting group of women. The property is perfect for us in every way, and we leave each year with sadness. We did make a list of things that probably could do with attention, but each year we appreciate the improvements, like the lovely table in the sunroom and extra chairs in the pool room. Here are a few things we noticed. *The front door does not lock properly *Obviously wine glasses have been broken so there are only about 4 *Someone has hit a pane of glass in the pool room. However it does not seem to be an issue regarding safety or water. entering. Unfortunately each year pool cues seem to be less. The pool table felt is also ripped. We did put a piece of tape over it in order to play. We are very fond of the pool room and wonder whether maybe there is lack of supervision by guests with children. *It might be an idea to have someone look at the oven. It does seem to have reduced efficiency since our last visit. Thank you for offering this guesthouse. We enjoy every moment we are there. Thank you also for the supply of wood especially when we are there in winter. Regards Jude Cook

This house for a large group is fantastic, well stocked and has a commercial double door glass fridge in the kitchen and plenty of room to prepare meals. Lounge is very comfy with lots of couches to sit around and chat by the fire. Front verandah has rocking chairs which were so good while having a cuppa and hand feeding the parrots. All rooms have an ensuite and the beds are very comfortable. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.
Bev Cranney
Wonderful 4 nights over Christmas and the only concern we had was that one of the sinks in a bedroom suite failed to empty as the plug would not release. We have stayed here previously and hope to visit again.

The Bunya Mountains is a wonderful place and we really enjoyed the place, sunset, hiking and the accomodation.
Margaret Lee
We found the Bunya Mountains Lodge just perfect for our family getaway. We booked for 7 adults, 4 children and 1 infant - numbers that the house easily accommodates. The large table was perfect to gather around for meals/celebrations and there were enough separate spaces to retreat too if it all became too much. The children loved the garden space.
Deborah Moore
Fabulous Lodge / perfect for a family get together! Well thought out and great living spaces!
Themsen Sarah
We love staying here each year!!! The highlight of the year for our family.

This is a special place. It has a wonderful feeling of being unspoiled and the trees are awesome and to be appreciated on the many walks. There is an amazing choice of accommodation.
Yvonne Spear
Great guesthouse for our family to share time together.

I love this property. It maybe my favourite. It has a great kitchen, and bedrooms have their own bathrooms. I found it was wonderfully cleaned on arrival. I ran a painting retreat and the staff were so accommodating when I was organising everything. I had to adjust my booking a couple of times, but they were so accommodating. My guests also commented on how great the staff were when they had to present to accommodation office for a few things .
Lynda Wanka
A great place to stay, especially for a large group. Great kitchen facilities and beautiful grounds.
Mary Jane Costello
This is a very generous house & garden but it requires a very deep clean. There is quite a bit of mould in the bathrooms & the carpet & couches could do with thorough clean. The clear door fridge was extremely smelly, we had to give it a clean ourselves. Lots of cobwebs. A beautiful house but needs work.
Kate B
Great house for a large group long weekend away. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious. Home is dated but functional.

Great place to stay for large groups. Location is central to facilities and walks. Kitchen is very well equipped. Every bedroom has a bathroom which is great and very convenient!
Diane Dowrick
Perfect house for a large family gathering. Well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Quiet location to relax and unwind.
James Galligan
We enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, and garden was well maintained. Our only negative (and it is a stretch to find a negative) would be the lack of wifi.
Denise Grieshaber
Excellent venue for a group of friends. Kitchen was really good to cook in - dining and living areas also have plenty of space. We loved it.
Jenny Smallwood
We had 4 couples and the house was plenty big enough with room to sleep more if you wanted. Each bedroom had their own bathroom too. It is positioned a bit further up the road so a bit of a walk to the shop however what a beautiful place to enjoy the wildlife and walks. Don't forget to buy some bird seed from the local store to enjoy your daily visitors in the mornings. All in all a great spacious property to enjoy. Always a beautiful place to visit. Jenny Smallwood

It was a great house for us with the 5 bedrooms and ensuites as our family with parents, grandparents, kids and now grandkids spend one weekend a year at the Bunya Mountains and we each had our own area. Great kitchen with everything we could ever need and the catering fridge was excellent and came in really handy - we usually need to keep drinks in our esky but here we could fit all the food and drinks - excellent.

Fabulous comfortable home with everything you need. We were 4 couples sharing each with a bedroom and en-suite. Large dining table and well equipped kitchen. Definitely recommend this for groups of friends.

A great house, set up as an ex-Bed & Breakfast, which suited our group of friends well. Lots of space.

Beautiful quiet and peaceful stay. Great for a group of 10. Plenty of space for all. Fireplace kept house warm and cosy.

Great home for 8 adults. There was everything there included. We all thoroughly enjoyed the 2 nights we were there. We took our own native bird food, & they came every morning and afternoon, really wonderful, & the wallabies morning and night, really great.

As a group of wonderful women in a book club, this property is the ultimate fit for us. We would like to see it as our annual get together away from home. However, it would be perfect for any large group as it accommodates a huge variety of different spaces and interests.

A lovely cosy house to celebrate a 40th birthday. Good to have bathrooms attached to each bedroom. Kitchen is well equipped and there's plenty of seating inside and out. The kids and parents enjoyed the pool room and also sitting on the deck watching the birds. Nice and close to the main walking area and the Bunya facilities (coffee shops etc).

Wonderful house with plenty of space and amenities including the fireplace and pool table. Will definitely come back!

The property suited our requirements very well i.e. 5 bedrooms and ensuites for 5 couples. It was roomy and had everything we needed, especially useful was the commercial fridge with plenty of room for our food and drinks. It was a little rundown and some TLC would be good. Location was excellent.

Great layout for a large group. We stayed 6 years ago and noticed on this visit the house is looking a little tired. Just some maintenance need to bring it back to a sparkle.

This is a great house for a large adult or family group. We were an adult group of 11. 5 bedrooms all with small bathrooms, large kitchen with loads of fridge space, log fire and sizeable lounge. Don't expect too much though. The property is aged and not well maintained or even well cleaned. The property needs a good overhaul.

Loved this house. Very roomy, clean and lots of bathroom. Gorgeous private setting.

When 16 people (8 adults, 2 teens & 6 children) get together in one house, its needs are tested. Bunya Mountain Lodge passed with flying colours. An ensuite for every bedroom was wonderful eventhough they were smallish. The huge lounge room for get togethers was marvellous and the dining table met our needs very well. The younger 4 children ate in the "sun"room. The house was well appointed, a decent potato masher and oven mits were the only things not up to scratch and how insignificant is that. I would have appreciated a 2nd bedside lamp in our bedroom. There was plenty of firewood. All in all, a good time was had by all.

The Lodge is very spacious but it's showing it's age. Many items of furniture and furnishings require a good handyman to visit with his/her hammer, glue and light bulbs. The price is a little high for the condition the house presents.

Overall, happy. Would have been extremely happy if the following problem had not occurred. Problem on arrival: took a while to locate sheets (on the shelves in the lower bedroom) and to note that there was only one sheet per bed, leading us to assume that the doona covers were clean enough to act as top sheets. There were no towels. By the time we realised that at 5.05pm and phoned the Centre, we could not raise anyone, so no showers that night or the next morning (there were 9 of us). The following morning the lady at the Centre was apologetic and supplied us with an abundance of towels. There was a leakage of water from the large refrigerator, which seemed to run continuously. We didn't use it. The more modern smaller refrigerator was fine. We enjoyed the layout of the lounge area including the fireplace - although attained best results by leaving the front of the fireplace ajar. Liked having books and games supplied although used our own. Good TV. The kitchen was very well equipped with cooking gear as well as crockery. Enjoyed the dining area and the lovely sunroom off it (we couldn't lock the outer door of the sunroom at night). Bedrooms were large and all with en-suites. Impressive. We enjoyed the Bar B Q and the Pool Room. Lovely verandah and garden. Great for a family gathering.

Place was beautiful and well looked after. Loved the en-suite bathrooms for all rooms. The pool room needs a bit of cleaning though and there were no oven mitts in the house so bring a pair if you’re using the oven, but other than that our stay was superb! Would 100% recommend.
