Again, a lovely stay here we even had the fire on a couple of nights when it got in the single digits (even though it was the first week of December), we love the Bunyas. The house is well set up, the recent improvements look great and everything is well set up/supplied. Loved our stay. Thank you Bunya Mountains Accommodation.

This was our 1st stay at the Bunya Mountains and it was very relaxing. Bowerbird House had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We got to enjoy some very friendly local birds who would frequently visit us on the verandah. The pool table, some games to play and DVD's to watch were a bonus. The large bathtub definitely adds to the appeal of this house, and we were very grateful for the aircon which kept us cool during a heat wave! The admin staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would certainly recommend Bowerbird House as a comfortable, home-away-from-home.

We loved our stay at Bowerbird House and we really enjoyed the beautiful bush walks. We were a bit chuffed having to pay $15 for tennis as it was free last time. Also, many surfaces in the house were dirty when we arrived and we left it much cleaner than when we arrived. The house needs the attention of a competent handy man to fix things such as the sliding door locks. Otherwise very nice.

My wife and I and 15 y.o son recently spent a Tuesday and Wednesday night at Bowerbird house Bunya Mountains. We enjoyed it very much. The house was presented. v clean, was well supplied by way of kitchen equipment, blankets, games, movies and various provisions for guest comfort. Great fireplace and excellent 7m x 3.5m pool & snooker table. Double lock up garage and the house is within a security gated estate. Peaceful, private - relaxing. Our forest walks were v. enjoyable. Can certainly recommend a visit to The Bunya's to everyone at least once in their time here...cheers!

Great getaway weekend. The house is perfect for 3 couples each having a separate room. The heater in the bathrooms was much appreciated, as was the electric blankets on the bed. The fireplace, along with air conditioning kept it nice and warm in the living area. Pool table is a bonus!

We were extremely happy with this house and have to say it was the most well equipped self catering accommodation that we have stayed in. It was home from home with a good selection of magazines, books, games and DVDS. Very comfortable in all ways. The fire burner and reverse cycle A/C are both in the living area so a little cool towards the bedrooms but that is all I can find that may not suit some people - We highly recommend !

We have been going to the Bunya Mtns for nearly 30 years. It is our winter getaway. We have introduced many families to Bunya by inviting them along with us. It’s all about food, drink, good company and as much or as little as you want to do. Wonderful down time to recharge the batteries.

We have been going to the Bunyas for close to 40 years . camping etc. Booked houses there many times in different locations. magnificent times have been had at all locations. Service from staff excellent. Have had bowerbird for the last four or five years. Love it. Extended family and friends included. Hope to use it for many more years. Perfect location and well appointed, and looked after really well.

We stayed for three nights and had a really relaxing time. Great fire that really kept us warm in the chilly evenings. Comfortable bed and great amenities. The shower however just does not have enough pressure. The pump was to small which was a shame as it has two shower heads and even with just one on it is to low. Hopefully it can be replaced. Will return to Bunya Mountains in the future as its such a beautiful place. We loved it. We have been three times before and stayed at various cabins and always had a great time.

Bowerbird House was very comfortable and we had a very enjoyable stay We realise the pandemic has made maintenance and life difficult over the past two years but there a few things that would assist future guests to enjoy their stay even more Exhaust fan light has blown Electric blankets don’t work on all the settings The air conditioning remote works intermittently Outside the back of the house needs a wash down ( spring clean) This is not a complaint ( hopefully helpful information) and we would certainly stay there again Cheers Mike

What a beautiful family house to stay in. The position of the house is close enough that with good legs you could walk to the coffee shop and walking trails, but tucked away so it feels private. We had grandparents and two children under 11 in our group. The pool table was a complete hit for all, and there was a great selection of DVD’s that the kids watched too. We spent many mornings and afternoons out on the front verandah enjoying the beautiful greenery around us and bird watching. We had regular king parrots, crimson rosella’s and satin bowerbirds that visited and a few resident kookaburra’s we admired from afar. We all really loved the birds. The kitchen is well equipped to whip up roasts, and the BBQ was utilised for hot breakfasts - everything works well and there are plenty of utensils, bowls, plates etc. Shower head and bath in the main bathroom is awesome! Very modern and can fit two in the tub. Bedrooms have plenty of storage and SO many extra blankets around in the event you are feeling chilly. Fire went on every evening and some mornings for us - everything you needed there and no issues to get going. We had a really lovely family holiday, lots of walks, lovely food, wine, chats, laughs, pool comps and board games (bring your own by the way). Will definitely be back.

The house was fit for purpose. The outside of the property was very dirty, including outdoor furniture. It did mean we couldn’t sit outside. I wouldn’t stay in this house again, we have stayed in multiple other properties and haven’t had this issue.

We paid for 3 nights and only stayed for 2. We found the property comfortable but tired. We were aware that we could collect the keys at 2pm but after a 3 hour drive, we arrived 10 minutes early and had to wait in the car for the keys to be put in the box right on 2pm. I thought this was petty, in 50 years we have always found places more flexible who allow at least a half hour leeway.

Our recent stay in the Bunya Mountains guesthouse was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the house, which is perfectly set up to accommodate a large family. One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent pool table, which provided hours of entertainment for everyone. The kitchen was another standout feature, being well appointed with everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals together. The wood burner was fantastic, working flawlessly and providing great warmth, making the evenings cozy and inviting. The beautiful setting of the house added to the overall experience, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop for our family vacation. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Bowerbird house to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable family retreat in the Bunya Mountains.

We loved staying there and will definitely stay there again, but were very upset there was no wood. We told reception when we arrived on the Friday and still had none delivered before we left on the Sunday. The house was perfect size and we had a little echidna in the back yard. Beautiful on the deck!

The outdoor table is not clean and not in a good spot on the deck to use. It is so heavy that you cannot move it!! Both decks are dirty, it needs a good clean! The kitchen needs a clean out, there is so much junk in the drawers and cupboards that you can’t put your own food in them. There has to be at least 20 dinner plates, 10 serving dishes and plates, some kind of slow cooker that didn’t even have a lid and a million cooking utensils in the drawers that never get used! A good clean out is long overdue. Pool table is great! Garage space is great, main bedroom is very spacious. Horrible red old carpet could be replaced!! Despite all this we enjoyed our stay. This is our second stay in this house but probably won’t stay again, will try and find a more updated home with a pool table.

A very quite and pleasant location. Unfortunately we found the front stairs to be a little unsafe due to the condition of the first few brick ones and no handrails. The left garage door was also quite stiff. Only 3 stars due to poor condition of stairs.

Very big property and would suit a large family, with us just being a couple we had plenty of space... Well appointed kitchen with all you could need. Comfortable lounge area(s) and large pool table. Generous bedrooms, we used the on-suite wing with walk-in robe, tv and fan above the bed. Bird bath on the balcony table was well used for drinking from but the male satin bowerbird insisted on having a full bath and spruce up...!! Mrs possum brought her young one to visit in the evenings and was quite friendly.. Very comfortable and we enjoyed the stay..

Great big family home with loads of space and the convenience of 2 big bathrooms. The pool table was certainly the heart of this house at night. Good walk to the shops and restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the tennis court down near the accommodation centre during the warm days. Get up to Bunya Mountains and do as little or as much as you like...my yearly destination to spend with friends.

Our party of 4 adults and 1 toddler enjoyed the very comfortable and well set up Bowerbird House.We loved the proximity of rain forest with some magnificent Bunya trees on 3 sides, abundant wallabies and birds. It is roomy with 2 living areas separated by a large kitchen .We made good use of the fireplace .

We enjoyed our stay very much. Only a couple of issues. One of the single bed mattresses was so uncomfortable and obviously old nobody could sleep on it. The back deck was filthy and no one wanted to sit out there. Both decks could do with a regular clean rather than just left.

Not sure if this went through so trying again. House was lovely and roomy. The Pool table was a bonus for the girls. Great appliances but no extras e.g. tea, coffee etc and bare essentials for cleaning. Plenty of wonderful wildlife. Perhaps noone had stayed for a while bit girls report need to clean table and benches before use as very greasy and grubby and outdoor furniture also needed a clean. One single bed is squeaky. Overall a good place to stay but no identifiable house number.
