Your School Camp at Bunya Mountains will be a success because…

Bunya Mountains is a unique wilderness area.

1100 metres above sea level. Bunya Mountains boasts the largest stand of our ancient Bunya pines (Auracaria bidwillii) in the world. The 22,000 ha of National Park includes natural bald areas, eucalypt forests as well as subtropical rainforest dominated by Bunya Pines on the top and Hoop Pines (Auracaria cunninghamii) on the slopes.

Rich Variety of Bird Species.

There are 121 recorded species of birds here at Bunya Mountains. An early morning bird walk is rich with their calls and various hues flitting through the rainforest. See the empty land snail shells strewn over the forest floor after the noisy pitta has devoured their inhabitants.

Safe & Well Kept Walking Tracks.

The National Park walking tracks cover 34 km and vary in length from 500m to 10km and cover a rich diversity of landscapes, stunning views and waterfalls.


Spotlight On Nocturnal Animals & Plants.

Observe mountain brush tail & ring tail possums, owls and frog mouths. See the luminous fungi in the rainforest; fireflies at dusk flashing their lights (in October) and watch the chocolate wattle bats emerge at dusk from the original Bunya Mountains school house.

Team games and activities

Eleven hectares well kept lawns. There is a tennis court, grassy volley ball court as well as a games room with a pool and table tennis table.


Quality meals and meeting room.

Our meeting room seats up to 100 comfortably (can accommodate larger groups) and offers alternative smaller areas for tutorial groups. Our meals and freshly prepared using quality ingredients. Most of what we offer is made on the premises. We feature our local delicacy – Bunya nuts – in some of our menu options

Quality Accommodation.

Mirrabooka, Warrigal, Tuggan-Tuggan, Mai, Toolburra and Oodgeroo. are fully self contained very comfortable and well equipped chalets adjacent to our meeting room. Doonahs and pillows are supplied. You just need to b.y.o linen and enjoy. For more details see our brochure attached above.
